For posting this would be stupid. It directly relates to our football team. Like it or not, we do have a coach on perhaps the hottest seat in college football this season. True, this article is nothing but speculation but it is still from a major new organization (not located in Michigan) discussing a topic that is important and interesting to most of this board, whether they admit it or not.

Whose seat is hottest in college football right now? Hoke is definitely up there, with a lot of people (pretty reasonably) assuming he's already done after this season. Muschamp is probably up there in Florida. Anyone else in as bad a situation as those two?

besides Harbaugh might not get a contract extension and that Michigan might have an opening. I guess he needed a three paragraph filler article for today.

At first I thought it was ridiculous with the harbaugh to michigan talk on the national media level but now I'm kind of enjoying it and find it comical in a way

No doutbt JH has the NY Post (of all trash newspapers) delivered to his desk in San Francisco by jet each morning.

The NY Post is pretty good for sports. But if you're looking for something to wipe your behind with I'd suggest the NY Times. Their ink is organic so you don't have to worry. JH to Ann Arbor makes sense but is in all likelihood a pipe dream for us dreamers.

Did you just use "actual journalism" as an expectation or standard when talking about the New York Post?  Thanks for the best laugh I am going to get all day.  I agree with you wholeheartedly that it would make more sense, but the chances of it happening at the Post are infinitesimal.

Thanks for your contribution, gord.  According to my sources, now I can write a blog post about how other people are writing blog posts about how I could write an article about how other people are writing baseless articles about Harbaugh and Michigan.  Check my sources.  They're legit.

So basically at this point the media is just happy throwing out baseless speculation knowing that Michigan's fan base is large enough and generates enough intrigue that it will get a sufficient amount of clicks
