No way Nebraska loses any of their remaining games.sad too because this is the year I think we'd have a great chance to win the rose bowl finally
Now I know what it feels like to be a Michigan State Fan.
After what happened in 1990 and 2001, it's nice to have MSU know what it feels like to get screwed on a bad call in the final minute. But they still should have won.
How in God's name are you punting from the 42 yard line on 4th and 2? And Leveon Bell is on your team? I always thought Dantonio was relatively savvy and ballsy with his playcalling but that was completely moronic. Deserved to lose playing the game like that.
Oh and how awesome, ND pulls another one out of their asses. All I want is for them to be exposed for the jokers they are. Completely unbelievable
lol on RCMB there is a thread calling for Hollis to bring Brian Kelly in.
wouldn't flush that call in a heartbeat.
BK would be a 'Killer' hire
The only BK Sparty has a shot at is the Burger King. Hey.... shiney crowns on the helmets!!!
Yes every ND coach hopes to win enough at ND so they can get the call for the MSU job.
Too scared to click...
for earlier thinking "wow, it's looking like a great day for football today. Notre Dame losing 20-6 in the 4th and Nebraska losing 24-10 in the fourth."
How does that happen. What the fuck.
You thought too loud and the football gods had run out of Maryland QBs to injure
...when you lose control of your destiny to an ulnar in the alps?!
Johnny Adams do on the PF? I was in b-dubs and thought they called a phantom block in the back. Was it a legitimate personal foul?
He did hit him in the front, but Kenny Bell never saw it coming. I'm not up on the rule, but I think it's likely related to protecting a defenseless player, especially because it had nothing to do with the play.
I thought it was a bad call...he was pursuing the play and would have had an opportunity to get in on the play had he not been blocked. He wasn't head hunted....it was a shoulder to the chest. It was a questionable call and changed the result of the game.
This was my thinking as well but have to admit I haven't seen enough of the play to get a really good viewpoint on the play. From what I've pieced together, though, it seemed legit. It doesn't matter if Bell saw it coming or not, it was to the front side of him and was fair play. Let's just say I'm very pissed Sparty didn't get that win, only to help Michigan of course, and it's hurting me inside sticking up for them and their bad calls all afternoon.
How can Sparty ever beat us out for a recruit?
They are pathetic: the coaching, the fans, the team discipline, the stadium, the game environment, everything.
Who would go there that had other choices?
Would be two reasons!
Saggy in 5 years. Meh
That's why you play with 'em for a couple weeks, and then send 'em on their way.
"Your hate will make you strong."
EDIT: yes I know I'm replying to M-Dog exactly the same way in multiple threads . . . HE STARTED IT!
At least we won't have to face Oregon. yikes....
That's why we need to root for Kansas State to lose a game, so Oregon can go to MNC.
before we worry about Nebraska. Iowa should be a W but Northwestern and OSU will be a challenge for sure.
In the first quarter, I thought we had sunk to Minny-level.
But after we beat Minny by about what I would expect a Northwestern-level team to do Minny, I'm feeling much better. It's at home, so I like our chances.
Is so full of delicious Sparty tears. Brian's going to have to use some kind of analytics package for Big Data to sift through it all.
Now living in Nebraska just got that much worse....they are world beaters again. This fanbase just makes you want to claw your eyes out. Two weeks ago they want everyone fired now they can't sing the praise of Pelini loud enough.
Amen. New Omaha resident here, can't stand how up and down this fanbase is, it's unbearable every week
I will say I was cheering for Nebraska but that is only because I will be cheering for Penn State vs Neb next week. I would never stoop to cheering for msu.Ever.
everyone be sure and shower with bleach to make the dirty feeling go away.
Srsly STAEE? Y U no lose last game & win this one?
No me gusta!
It's defeat from the clutches of victory saturday.
Keep in mind that a lot of championships we won in the past were shared. We could finish 7-1 this season (which in the past would almost guarantee you a share of the title) and not even make the conference title game. It's a different ballgame now with the two divisions.
You dropped your can of pennies you like to shake at "the hipsters" for being on your lawn
After many DECADES of rooting against Sparty, it was diffcult not to be happy when something good happened to Nebraska. I kept having to think: "Oh, wait..." However, even though it obliviously would have been good if they won, seeing them once again snare defeat from the jaws of victory was hardly disappointing.
OTOH, seeing Pitt do its best Sparty impression in South Bend was NOT fun!
