the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Notre Dame is going to the championship game
Because only then would we forget that we have 1 NC in the past 70 years playing "manball".
We aren't Alabama. Michigan is in the talent barren area that is the midwest so we will never recruit as well as they do.
The Michigan of today should not be held to the same ethos as the Michigan of the 1970s, 1980s, or even 1990s. We cannot shoehorn ourselves into a particular style of play but rather employ whatever scheme is necessary to win, be it "manball" or "basketball on grass".
Glad you guys are so confident. Our D is pretty good, or so I hear.
Just imagine the imagary. Sab(t)an vs the Catholics! So rich.
Our only losses came to the 2 teams in the BCS National Championship, an undefeated team that would be in that game if they weren't under sanctions, and the probable B1G champion. The loss to Bama was obviously a straight up loss. The loss to ND was due to 5 turnovers. The loss to Nebraska wouldn't have happened, in my oppinion, if it wasn't for Denards injury. Today, I firmly believe we were the better team. Turnovers killed us again, and of course, the questionable playcalling didn't help.
Having said that, forget the past. I'm excited to play a good team in the Capitol One Bowl and I can't wait for next year. I'm sure Brady Hoke will put emphasis on taking care of the ball during practices leading up to the bowl and during spring practices. Also, I only see the offense improving with Borges being able to focus on just one quarterback who fits his offense more than Denard. With next years schedule, I can see us running the table.
Always look on the bright side of life.

the ass-kicking our hockey team took tonight. Worst sports day in a long time.
The Bama OL will control ND's front seven. The D will contain Golson and create at least two turnovers. ND's defense tires out due to Bama's depth at RB and McCarron lights up ND's secondary (few big plays off PA).
Bama 24
ND 14
I especially love the live pub report from South Bend
I wish I were making that up
I hate life right now
Thank goodness for alcohol. Oh what the fuck, tonight I am in Colorado, maybe I should smoke some weed?
Double fuck me, my first double post. I definitely should smoke some weed.
...we know how this ends:
As a matter of fact I like beer.
...better summon all the power of Christianity they can muster to pray for Georgia to win the SEC title game. If ND played 'Bama next week I doubt they'd score, but Saban with a month to prepare for a true freshman QB?
I mean, if Saban had a week to prepare for a freshamn QB, he'd get his butt kicked.
But a whole month?!?!? No chance for that freshman QB.
Bama has to win next week. ND can beat Georgia. Heck, ND can beat anyone this year. They just keep winning. Only guy I trust to overcome ND's charmed season is Saban.
BILG
ND probably could beat anyone this year, and that includes Bama. No matter how suspect they might have appeared to us in September and October, they've developed into a very, very good team.
As much as I despise the Irish, though, and admit they would be insufferable if they win the BCS Championship, wouldn't it be great to see the Ess Eee Cee go down? Saban especially?
I've got this new philosophy on life. Just accept things will probably never go your way. Accept that you will never be truly happy. Accept that no matter how hard or how badly you work for something some other low life bastard will take it from you. Accept that no matter how much you want something to happen it will not go the way you desire. Accept that drink some beers and just run out the clock on the rest of your time on this big round ball...peace out ladies.
Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

Losses to ND and OSU, both whom have undefeated seasons. This is hell.
now takes on new, sad meaning.
Wow. The World really is going to end this year.
Every major news source will have the caption "luck of the Irish"
Kill me now
So hot. Milk was a bad choice.
Good for them. I've never held the same anger toward ND as other programs, and they went undefeated against a tough schedule. They deserve to play for the title. I expect them to be housed by whichever SEC team they play, but I have no reason to discredit what they did this year.
I still do not care for the man. But I noted here weeks ago that he was to be given credit for being a passing spread guru willing to be conservative and let his D win for him, making fewer unforced errors than all of his opponents. Now I would add a couple more points to his credit:
How patient but steady he has been with his quarterbacks (this year). He knew the talents of his quarterbacks and used them both to full advantage. Last night was the first time I have seen him start to unleash his passing spread offense, and he let it develop very slowly through the season. Golson looks ready to be great for the next 3 years.
No recent purple faces. He has seemed relaxed with his players and with the media this year. Maybe I have not watched enough, but surely the stress must be high.
For the past 2 seasons, I would not have known he even had assistant coaches. Now I hear his coordinators getting some credit. He even ran out of the tunnel next to one of them last night. He is growing into the HC position, and just in time.
Plus he look like Jack Bauer only more horizontal.
Remember at the beginning of the year when we thought ND's schedule was a gauntlet? Still a tough schedule after it played out but not nearly as testing as we thought it'd be. MSU sucked worse than anybody could have imagined, our offense struggled more than we thought it would, Oklahoma is not very good this year and USC is a poop sniffer and played a frosh QB against them. Stanford was the only very good team they faced this year IMO. But still, kudos to them for being able to pulls wins out of their sphincter ala OSU 2002 & 2012
Our toils obscure an' a' that,
The rank is but the guinea's stamp,
The man's the gowd for a' that.
First off, tough loss yesterday. I was rooting for you guys.. F@CK Urban Meyer, he's a classless liar. Those turnovers are frustrating, I can empathize.
Secondly, wow, there is some serious Saban love in here. I get it.. You want to see our "Christmas ornament" helmets driven into the ground for four quarters by the almighty tide. I felt the same way in week 1 when you guys faced them.. I never understood why Hoke didn't let Denard run wild in that game.. It was like he was scared Bama was going to hurt him and your conference championship chances would fly out the window. Little did he know Gardner was going to end up being the better all around QB.
If bama beats Georgia, my Irish will go in as the under-dog, agreed. But, that's how we went into Norman, with the pressure on Oklahoma. Make no mistake, the pressure will be on Bama to "crush" us non-SEC piss-ons.
But, they are beatable, Ta&m showed us that. It's no secret that Kelly has been speeding up the tempo of our offense every week. We will attempt to run a similair gameplan as Ta&m and Saban will look to correct the issues that lost him that game. There is plenty of time for both teams to develop solid game-plans. Georgia would be the easier opponent IMO but Vegas would prob still have us +6. These guys have earned their shot and will put up one hell of a fight no matter the opponent.
Look on the bright side of the future Wolverines. You guys are building the trenches up with young studs. Kalis, Magnuson, Bosch, Pipkins, Taco etc.. I believe Treadwell is a must have b/c he could start next season and have a huge impact offensively. You guys also need a featured back in this class.. is the staff involved with any other than Deveon Smith?
We'll see you guys early next season.. WEEK 2.
np, alabama will rip them a new on on the biggest stage.
"What" ain't no country I ever heard of. They speak English in What?
I am in total CFB misery.
Ohio State is undefeated and ND is going to play an SEC team for the National Championship. With our luck, Dantonio will probably win the Heisman.
Fuck it. Let's go win the Hoops National Championship.

Alabama- 2 national titles in 3 years; 36-4 record.
If that's average, I'll take it.
