Not OT-Connor Cook Probably Coming Back
Title says it all. Connor Cook says he has "unfinished business," and "the only way to accomplish it, is to comeback."

it's probably a good decision. The Jets, Raiders, Bears, Titans, Houston, Buffalo, so many teams need QBs and hey all suck offensively.

Guys says this every year before the bowl game and take off and leave.

All this time at MSU, and he and his nose will finally be starting a game at the Big House. Here's to your business ruined on the 17th of October.

i'm glad he's coming back .... he'll go 6-6 and a BIG L in the Big House.
December 16th, 2014 at 5:39 PM ^
Good, gives us a final try to send him home in tears.
December 16th, 2014 at 5:40 PM ^
Was he really considered a big NFL prospect? Must not be a deep pool of QBs this year.
December 16th, 2014 at 7:50 PM ^
From Kiper so take with a grain of salt.
He said that he doesn't think there is a elite franchise QB is this class. Mariota could go #1, but he is not elite like how Andrew Luck was the #1 pick.
December 17th, 2014 at 1:25 AM ^
He had 1st round projection early in the year before he fell off a bit, but outside Winston and Mariota there's no clear #3 QB in this class. Hundley is coming out, Bryce Petty is there, but it's a weak class. Cook could easily be the 3rd QB taken, but who knows where that would be in the draft.

He didn't "announce it twice." I guess Michigan fans wouldn't know about players getting asked questions at a bowl press conference.
Exactly why do M fans think they're better than other fans? I find that most of you are either ignorant or petty when it comes to MSU.

Every MSU qb needs to get his ass kicked before graduating. Hope we give Cook the honor

Coming back? Where else would he be going? Unless he wants a job at Hertz rent a car with the other MSU grads.
Or is he in their prestigious "School of Packaging"...maybe UPS then?

I agree. Cook has most of the qualities that generaly translate to the NFL. I, for one, thought he would declare given the weak pool of QBs and the amount of teams in need of a QB.
I think a month ago I saw a mock draft that had him going mid to late first round.
December 16th, 2014 at 6:20 PM ^
The Sparty fans and the media said the same thing about Kirk Cousins... who is now not even being activated for games.

MSU is known as (back-up) Quarterback U

is physically more talented than Cousins. Cook was projected anywhere from late 1st to mid 2nd round. Cousins got drafted at 4th round which is backup QB range.

I expected him to come back, but wish he would be gone. Actually it doesn't matter to me, I just want to beat those turds so badly.
December 16th, 2014 at 6:25 PM ^
He's not really the reason MSU has been good/bad these past couple of years. He'll be a competent QB next year as well; Michigan beating them will rely on simply being better.

he would probably go second round, maybe first, and make money and what not. but him coming back to polish his game and improve overall is a wise choice. he will be much better in the long run.

For tomorrow at 1:00 PM to announce that I, too, will not be declaring for the NFL draft this year.
Don't miss Thursday's press conference when I will announce that I will also not be declaring for the NHL, MLB or NBA drafts, either.
December 16th, 2014 at 10:03 PM ^
Remember, MSU is in a bowl game. Cook was asked a question at the Cotton Bowl press confernce. Get it?
December 16th, 2014 at 6:43 PM ^
Not always a great idea to wait a year. Your stock can drop dramatically.
December 16th, 2014 at 8:20 PM ^
Yep... Brady Hoke learned that the hard way.
Too soon?

Man, MSU must really be in your head. He didn't call a press conference. He was asked a question at the Cotton Bowl press conference.

Stop being a douche.
December 16th, 2014 at 8:24 PM ^
To be fair they have quite a few guys in the NFL at QB right now. Stanton, Hoyer, Cousins, Foles was there for a year but went to Zona.
Sure they aren't rolling out elite guys but they have done a solid job of taking guys with solid to good skill sets and preping them for hanging around in the league. That is going to start getting the attention of more talented recruits.
