Not like this has been discussed already but...

I just fulfilled my daily requirement of dissecting the 2010 schedule and need some help in pulling myself off the ledge.  I just don't see us beating anyone outside of Illinois and maybe Purdue that we didn't take care of last year.  Yes I know PSU is going to drop off but MSU at home still worries me and another loss to Sweater Vest makes me puke but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Someone pull me off the ledge please and tell me how we can go 9-3 or better.

Do you ever watch college football?  Anything can happen!  We have the talent to beat anyone on our schedule (even OSU!)

On the flipside, we are so young (stil) that we could lose to anyone on the schedule (except UMass and Bowling Green).

Also, we won't have glaring holes at safety and linebacker this year.  Sorry to be a Negative Nancy, but we prolly won't go 9-3, but we should at least be bowl bound.

P.S. We play MSU at the Big House.  Feel better now?

against Iowa, in Iowa, in which we decided not to cover TE's after they were 5 yards past the LOS and we turned the ball over 234 times.  This year we play them at home, with sophomore qb(s).

We had a shot last year, I'd give us a decent shot this year.

9-3 or better? Why do we have to be that good? Why should anyone expect better? Hell, 7 wins would be an accomplishment based on the progress of the last 2 years. If we win 7, I'd be more than happy.

RR's pattern is that he has a "quantum leap" year of around 9 wins after his personnel is in place.  I think they are in place now.    Besides there are sorta three catagories of Michigan fan here.  "Optimists" think they will win eight or more.  "Realists" think seven is reasonable.  "Pessimists" are already dreaming of Jim Harbaugh coming back to Ann Arbor.

Put me in the "optimist" catagory.  And if I'm wrong, as I have been the last two years, I'll only be metaphorically checking out pawn shops for hara-kiri swords for the last part of the season instead of the entire year.

I'm more optimistic about our big away games than the home games personally.

Getting two weeks to prepare for a PSU team with a questionable offense is looking good IMO.I also really like that OSU has to go on the road to Iowa the week before we match up.

I'm less optimistic about Wisconsin for it being a home game(bad gut feeling for some reason)...Even less so with Iowa.Iowa gets two weeks to prepare.:(

I'm downright overconfident about ND and MSU...What can I say.

I'll be shocked if we can't get at least 7 wins this year.I'm hopefull for a 10-2 season...Expecting 8-4 or 9-3.

I see our offense clicking and I think our defense will get key stops for us when we really need them.  I see us with 7 wins and a bowl game, but who knows anything is possible.

9-3 or better? I have trouble dreaming about that. I would love it. It just doesn't seem like a likely scenario. Iowa and PSU are winnable. OSU is a winnable game. It is every year.

Everybody needs to chill out a little bit and realize that we are going to roll Sparty. Look, we went to OT with them last year in East Lansing when we shouldn't have been in the game, and they finished up 6-7. I know they beat us the last two years (worst two years of Michigan football history), but we will beat them this year. I am so sick of hearing everyone whine about how nervous they are. Just man up and show some confidence. State is a joke. Do you really think that Cousins is going to run for 50 yards again? NO. Do you think our idiot punter is going to hand the ball back to them on the 20 yard line? NO. We are gong to run all over their shit defense. I am fed up with the negativity on this blog. GO BLUE
