Contrary to what our brains are telling us, there’s no mystical force that imbues a winner with a streak of luck, nor is there a cosmic sense of justice that ensures that a loser’s luck will turn around. The universe doesn’t care one whit whether you’ve been winning or losing; each roll of the dice is just like every other.

I know this is not helping me, as every weekend, I get this sick feeling deep in my gut, and lately ever time i watch my beloved Wolverines, I think to myself..."It would have been healthier for me to have spent the last X hours doing something else".  Yet, next Saturday will come and I'll turn the TV on hoping, praying, begging, that I'll see something better.

But, now I utilize DVR. I record the game and I go do something more worthwhile. Unfortunately, there's not many things left that are less worthwhile. At any rate, I come in the house, fast forward thru commercials, halftime, most of our offensive plays, many of our defensive series, all of our special teams plays, and I've cut my Saturday black hole down to about an hour. The notre dame game only took me 30 mins! It really cuts down on the guilty feelings u have for watching something that u knew going in would be a waste of time.

Like about 15-20 other threads, it was moderated, but of course a number of them - either through reconsideration or discussion - have since reappeared. There might be a need for several vents tonight, I suppose.

Maybe I've been watching too much True Blood on HBO, but he appears to be crying tears of blood out of his left eye, which is a trait I now associate with Vampires. If anyone has been maced before, or has experience with macing situations, can you tell me if that is normal?
