Not a big deal but I guess T.R. and RJS will take visits.

Submitted by no joke its hoke on

Per Twitter Terry Richardson and RJS say they are going to take their visits mainly because well why not? lol I dont think its a big deal and TR even twitted they are sold on UM and not to worry but I just thought I'd share. I would post the link not sure how.Just  passing along what I saw but don't panic. I think if I was in their shoe's I would probably do the same.

And if some kid committed to us does too, good luck to him, on to the next guy who wants to be here. Not going to wish him ill, it's his choice, not mine to make. And if a kid sees everything else and STILL wants to come here, he's dedicated to Michigan.

He committed...and then took a visit to us.  So if I'm glad he came here after committing there, I can't very well say "OH, HOW DARE THEY TAKE ANOTHER VISIT?!?! BREAK THEIR LEGS!!" Which I'm sure you're not thinking either....just sayin' it was the opposite, commit to OSU, visit us, decommit, commit to us. I hope that it stops after the "visit" part for our kids, but I'm not going to hold it against them, even if they find their heart someplace else.

I'm thinking of them as uncommitted with UM as favorites. I completely understand them wanting to take visits but I do feel uneasy about it. Terry Richardson said in his twitter that their recruitment isn't over until feb 2.  It doesn't sounds like his commitment is 'solid' to me.

Free trips all over the country?  I don't blame them.  My top 3 would be, Akron, Bowling Green & Toldeo.

if you guys aren't just a little worried, you're in denial. Have you ever thought maybe they might like someplace better?I certainly hope not, but to say you're not at least a little worried is beyond me.

They should go there. It's their life. Rather have them go now and find out they'd be happier someplace else than not be sure and come here and then have second thoughts and regret it and either leave or be an unhappy presence in the program.  Recruiting is a numbers game. No one recruit makes or breaks a class or program. It's lots, over a long time. I'd love to have them, but they don't get to recruit a lot of schools, they get to choose just one. I hope they choose the one that's best for them. Just because I think it's Michigan doesn't mean they have to.  Good luck to 'em every day of the year except the one we may or may not play them (or need them to lose for some beneficial reason).

Let them look.

Look, they better be honest with Hoke and the coaches.  As long as they are, I have no problem.  Free trip, they get to hang out with hostesses...what is not to like?

That said, if they are underhanded about it, they should have their offers revoked.  But I think these are kids, let them go see the world.  Many of these guys have barely ever left the state of Michigan.  I am much happier having them go see what is out there, and then feel comfortable with their decision to go to Michigan. If they go elsewhere, more power to them.

I refuse to castigate kids for spreading their wings.  Let us not turn into Bucknuts, people.

Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports just spoke with Terry and Royce (there is an article over there, but it's behind a paywall) and said on the forums that he would be surprised if they ended up anywhere else.

I doubt anything will come of it. I know the staff probably won't allow them to take visits and remain committed.

I would have to agree with Tom on this. If you wanted to take visits elsewhere you should of done that before you committed. There are plenty of prospects that would love the chance to play at Michigan and would not want to visit elsewhere. Both these young men need to realize that Michigan wants Die Hard players that want to play for Michigan only. At this point they have way more recruits then scholarships to offer. There is really no need to waste them on players on the bubble.
