Per Twitter Terry Richardson and RJS say they are going to take their visits mainly because well why not? lol I dont think its a big deal and TR even twitted they are sold on UM and not to worry but I just thought I'd share. I would post the link not sure how.Just passing along what I saw but don't panic. I think if I was in their shoe's I would probably do the same.
Not a big deal but I guess T.R. and RJS will take visits.
where I would get fawned over, I might take a few of those.
Chill. You'd do the same thing if you were in their situation. If you didn't, I'd call you a moran.
If you're going to insult someone, you should probably at least spell the word correctly.
Oops. Sorry JG.
but JG is correct...it forever will be moran on this blog. For the record I prefer pre-madonna to the more conventional spelling as well.
.....your last name happens to be "Moran" (mine is not). Is it an unintended attack, or is this guy in the photo still a buffoon?
They pronounced it mo-RAN putting the emphasis on the end. I guess that guy does not like them.
I work with a guy that has the same last name and pronounciation. My guess is that the guy holding the sign is just an idiot who still to this day does not know why that pic is funny.
I nominate you, Chet. GET ON IT!!!
Deep breath, chief.
Chet, I never would have known to panic without your wise insight. You truly are my North Star...
I bet they committed just to take up spots and then when all of the 5*s are gone everyone's going to back out! What if we actually have 0 recruits because all of them are just pretending to be committed?!?!? I'm sure this is the work of Jim Tressel with the NCAA and the free press in an epic plot to stab Hoke in the back, making way for Les Miles to return in a blaze of glory! DAMNIT SHEEPLE WAKE UP!
"They're here already!" "Soylent Green is PEOPLE!" "It's a cook book!" "Einhorne is a man!" C'MON people, PANIC!
I see the remains of the Statue of Liberty...
Who would have thought that JT would be fired in the off season? Everyone needs one and it's the responsible thing to do.
Thanks for the insight, Chet.
...except Kalis had made it clear that he was having reservations (and even called to decommit) before ever visiting UM. RJS and TRich are both reaffirming their commitments to UM constantly and recruiting others to the program. They're highly unlikely to leave what they themselves have helped to build.
Exactly. No reason to believe that these guys are leaving and even if/when we lose a few guys, I'm sure we'll fill their spots with other excellent football players. It's all part of the process.
Not sure why I wouldn't be breathing OK.. But it means a lot that you're worried about me, Beavis ;)
You're right. I'm not a true Michigan fan because I don't think it's a big deal that a couple 17 year olds are taking advantage of 5 free vacations. I personally think they will end up here, but if they don't, Beavis is right. We're in on a lot of good talent that we can pick up.
Sorry for wasting your time, Chetty.
While there really isn't good that will come of this, we unfortunately must act like adults and let kids be kids.
Hello: Wayne Morgan
when you need him? This has been fairly common knowledge on the board for about a month or so now.
I knew I could count on someone to get the goal if I set it up.
nothing is set in stone until signing day anyway, so why shouldn't they be allowed to take visits. Of course there is always that little something in the back of ones head that worries some might see something they like better while taking visits, but I honestly can't blame these guys for wanting to take advantage of this. You're only young once, and these would be awesome trips to take with your pals.
Who cares? Let the kids take visits. I'd do the same if I had scholarship offers across the nation. Not many get that chance.
I would take the visits for sure. Even now in business, you always take the trips when they are needed, offered, free, any reason what-so-ever.
if anyone gets worked up, just remember when you were 17 and how you wanted to see places around the world. let the kids enjoy the process! they are michigan sold and solid, have fun guys!
My parents helped me "do the right thing" when I was straying off the reservation. Odd how somes' perception of what a commitment means, is. Officials are meant for a player to visit the selected "finalists" and then COMMIT.
Kids do the darndest things - Fred "Linkletter" Jackson.
Thanks for the compliment. Certainly wouldn't want a parent to parent. God forbid. I think they should be able to sign half of their names on their NLI in February and go make sure that they want to put down the rest after a few more visits.
You might want to read Sam Webb's comments about all of this on GBW and I guess indirectly, the Michigan staff's position. Erie, the similarity. I guess I am waiting for a grey box thingy but thought I would bring you up to speed.
They have every right to take visits. Absolutely. Schools have every right to then doubt their sincerity and act accordingly.
A Great Lake? A city in Pennsylvania?
Its like job interviews (sort of) like if you already accepted a job, but another company wants to fly you out to cali and put you in a hotel and pay for your food im sure most people would do it just for the free trip, food etc....so im not worried about them taking the trips
we should have T-Rich and RJS's twitter feed automatically load here with how close it appears so many are following them!
...that would be stal....uh....wait....nevermind.
Why wouldn't you? Tap out some SEC hostesses? I think its a good idea. Enjoy the trips you've earned. Just don't knock anyone up or pick up an STI, you don't want that distraction.
What is an STI? They sound cool.
"Sexually transmitted infection". Thats what the docs are calling them nowadays.
So, would that include syphighonaherpeaids?
Must be a new one . .
Allen Treiu with the scoop and what the Michigan coaches told him. I don't have an account so can someone paraphrase please?
i don't blame dem one bit.
They are not committed, only interested.
This will get interesting.
Again, I don't like it, and it makes me uncomfortable. But if the coaches are OK with it, then I'm OK with it. They know these guys a lot better than I.
It's interesting to see the different philosophies about commits visiting. I know some coaches don't allow it, while some are fine with it to make you more confident in your decision.
