It was crazy to see NIU take the first two kickoffs 100 yds and 95 yds. Is going to be a very exciting second half. NIU is my second favorite team so I'm hoping they can get the win and head back to Ford Field again.

I switched over during the commericial break. The '98 Orange Bowl was Nebraska v. Tennessee. They are advertising this as one of "The Big Ten's Greatest Games."

I can get used to Nebraska being in the B1G now, but showing a game on the BTN as one of the B1G's greatest games, featuring teams that at the time were not in the B1G seems too weird to me.

Where apparently no one has told Bill Simmons there are actually interesting sports stories outside of Boston.

Not sure why neither team has started using onside kicks.... Each posession is worth almost a TD, ad if you fail youre only losing about 10-15 yards of field position compared to those pooch kicks.

...or at least that is what ESPN2 claimed before the last break. I know I would want the defense to step up after they blew hard and gave up 35 points (in the case of Toledo).

ADDENDUM: 42 points given up by Toledo. I wonder if they knew that LBs and a decent secondary actually work wonders.

Why the HELL did Toledo not start using time-outs with 2 or 2:30 left?  With NIU at the 10-yd line with 56 points on the board?  Did they think they were gonna get a stop?

Had the tv on for most of the second half. I've seen games like that before, but they were played indoors on a 50-yard field with 8 men on each side.

Given that I've been at EMU games lately, this has good implications for EMU's chances for a MAC title.  Now they just have to take care of business wtih the rest of their schedule.
