Normal Night CFB Open Thread
Rees is just starting, Golson will still play. Apparently he was late to a team meeting. It will be interesting to see how long they keep Rees in though, I imagine they'll keep him in if he gets off to a good start.
Please help improve our chances at the B10CG by winning your game tonight.
Thanks.
I think they could even turn a game against our '08 team into a shootout.
I don't know. Is 200 to 50 really a shootout?
Is it late night yet?! I keed, I keed. ND will whoop Miami, WVU will whoop Taxess, Spurrier will get the GameCocks a big win over Gawgya, annnnnd Ohio over GoBigRed.
Now that I have those picked, I think I will get every one of them wrong...
This is the thread for Oregon-Washington.
What a horrible decision on 4th and 2. WVU squandered a fantastic kickoff return.
Those ND jerseys are UofM in the MSU game last-year bad.....woof
They look like Harvey two face dent.
IT'S FOR THE KIDS DAMNIT!
Texas receivers getting pretty good at batting down their own passes, lol.
Why is Maryland playing the U on NBC?
Real smart holding a game in an NFL stadium that holds almost 20,000 less than your home stadium.
WTF Miami...
ND helmets hurt my eyes. Jesus those are shiny
Damn, South Carolina is taking Georgia to the woodshed.
Ummm, Miami player got blocked into the punter. Cheap call on the Canes.
Pretty sure that Miami player was blocked into the punter
Rumor has it, Golson takes school as seriously as Tate Forcier.
Where does Golson lie on the Cardale Jones to Tate Forcier scale?
double post :(
Georgia person here and its exactly. Fucking. right. bobo and Richt need to gtfo.
Wow. Not sure how that Miami linebacker could have played that worse. Just watched the receiver run the obvious out route then hit him out of bounds. Miami just shooting themselves in the foot tonight.
Everything they say is "Wow. [fill in the blank] is so great because it's the SEC". They've referenced crowd noise, speed, and defensive lineman speed so far. I'm so damn tired of that meme. The teams are good, but I'm not sure why that's been extrapolated to now everything is better just because you can put an SEC logo on it.
"Wow look at those polos the coaches are wearing. The fabrics are so soft in the SEC"
ND's uni's are smooth.
Another 4D conversion for WVU!
whether Denard (in his 3rd to last game ever in michigan stadium) who has a chance to end a 4 game losing streak to our (arguably) 2nd bigest rival, in a year where the odds may be tilting in our favor . . . and you're wondering if the ticket prices will go DOWN?
.
.
.
maybe.
probably depends more if the weather forecast says rain.
Miami cannot get out of their own way at all. Should be up big already.
...and I assume they are chanting the usual "Om namah shivaya" on the field right before Gordon Gee takes the heart from some poor redshirt freshman...
From ESPN.com: "But Arizona's defense couldn't hold up when it counted."
Stanford managed all of 13 points against Washington last week. Looks like AZ was a cure for that. I'm rooting for RR to succeed, but holy hell that kind of defense will get him fired in Tucson eventually too.
But, but he has Jeff Casteel!
I need moar TVs... So much action right now :(
Does anyone still use PIP anymore? Does it even work with set top boxes?
Yeah, My TV has PIP, but the way I come into the TV through my AV system via HDMI, there isn't true swap available to the TV itself. Luckily, my cable box from Cox has built in PIP on their universal remote, but tonight two channels just ain't enough lol...
That Direct TV sports mix channel has been my best friend today.
Texas is also handling West Virginia. If you took the over on that one you'll probably have pocketed your winnings by halftime.
Am I the only one bored by this stream of 70-63 and 54-48 games? Thankfully there are still some other options.
How is it that with 46 jillion games on right now every time I channel surf for scores I hit ads? How is that even possible?
That is a pretty legit lineup of games...for those that love college football, you can't ask for anything more. Michigan with a dominanting road win and great football on at night...ENJOY EVERYONE!
I'm at the FSU/NCSU game and so NCSU is holding pretty well. FSU looks pretty mediocre.
I have to say, WVU +7 is the craziest line I have seen this year in Vegas. What were they thinking? Easy money.
(1) Las Vegas
(2) "Easy Money"
(3) ?
(4) Bankruptcy
As I was saying...
Yes, you're about to be one for two and out the house take on your "easy money" plays tonight. And that's if we give you the extra point or two you're claiming on your lines against what was actually posted yesterday.
Wtf are you talking about? I'm 12-16 on the day. Stfu.
Even if an OSU win helps us in our division, you like to see an Ohio opening drive that is unafraid to show how much derpitude the team is capable of displaying.
Alright, is Neb's offense that bad, or is Ohio's D actually becoming competent?
Probably shouldn't post this again after our own Yakkety Sax-esque performance two weeks ago, but those jerseys...yikes.
Love it, great to see.
Saw someone at the bar this afternoon wearing this jersey. I know the jersey is not the problem, but you still got to question legitimizing this uniform.
Under Big Ten rules, 3rd and 35 calls for a QB sneak....
I don't like Gus Johnson. Overrated announcer. Calm down.
You bite your tongue!
Goddamnit. I just don't know who I want to win this Neb/Ohio game. I kind of want the score right now to stay the exact way it is.
Well, poop, Ohio scored.
If OSU wins there's an extremely legitimately chance that they are 11-0 when we go to Columbus. Would love to spoil their perfect season.
That makes me happy that they'll wreck havoc on our competition, but sad that people will actually think it mean's anything with their cupcake non-conference and crappy B1G.
They definitely aren't an undefeated quality team. They have a lot of flaws, but with how weak everyone else is in the B1G they could do it.
11-0 in this conference, even this year, would get you to a MNC game. Which I honestly want just to make their bowl ineligability even funnier.
Again?
Burkhead doing Burkhead things
Ah Nebraska, you tricky bastards
I am assuming Burkhead taking the snap was on the unedited tape which was not sent to Urban Meyer and his staff...
Impressive response by Nebraska there.
In a somewhat meta moment, Buchanan tackles Abdullah, which is only fair as Buchanan punted the ball in the first place....
then throws a block....
You gotta love that guy
Psst. Hey ohio, this is what happens when you play a team who is actually good.
Both of these teams are very flawed. As of right now I think we beat the both of them just like last year.
League play dictates that I root for OSU, but damn, I do love it when Miller screws up.
Who is Nebraska going to lose to if they win this game? Looks like we may need to win out to get to the btcg.
Beat Nebraska and as long as it's only a 2-way tie with Nebraska, Michigan can lose to someone else and still go to Indy.
...but NU games are disconnected events. I promise you that even if Nebraska wins big, we can still derp it up against Iowa with the best of them.
Both of these teams are paper tigers. Ohio is just tissue paper to Nebraska's two-ply.
I don't know if there are any Thrice fans out there, or anyone reading this at this point, but yay paper tigers.
Haha. I think that's short. WTF was that.
In six quarters of play in their new conference West Virginia has given up 8.8 yards per play.
It's hard to believe that's even possible. Even Arizona/Stanford today weren't anywhere near that number. And this is an undefeated team, #8 in the country.
The second best conference in the country!!!
Improvement in Neb defense? Or the fact that the B1G sucks and Ohio played one of the easiest schedules in the B1G for the non-conf, and barely survivied. But whatever, Neb is a powerhouse now after giving up 27 points to the worst O in the B1G (Wisc)
I've watched every OSU game so far. Their offense is horrid, and their defense isn't that great either. Terrible tacklers and slow. No way they should be ranked #12.
Nebraska got shredded by the only decent offense they played (UCLA) and gave up a bucket of points to a seriously flawed one (Wisconsin). Ohio's offense is really bad.
Meyer is a fricking dumbass (for many reasons, but especially) for that play call.
Instead of fake kicking it he should have just run he would have gotnit
You mad
Urban Meyer's offense tries to sell the punt, giving their punter some pity yards which do not amount to a first down. Nebraska ball with excellent field position.
Martinez throws from the pistol to nearly negate the 1st and 15 hole, and that's where the 1st quarter ends.
I've concluded: UM without Denard turnovers = best team in the B1G. UM with Denard turnovers = Illinos.
OSU's D is playing like a bucket of turds
Some might say a cooler full of turds
The transitive property in football is an illusion, but we would be destroying Miami (ytm) right now.
So we're on par with Nevin Shapiro?
17 yards of offense for OSU so far.
/s
Ick. Nebraska blew that TD chance. Martinez is gonna Martinez.
Second easiest money of the week was Nebraska +5. OSU is terrible
It was 3.5 yesterday.
Playing is one thing, but disrespecting the people that set those lines is the road to ruin. Seriously.
How can Miami be letting Goulson move the ball like this? They might be a worse D than OSU.
Denard woulda scored on that run, Braxton can't finish.
Think he's injured.
He definitely doesn't have the speed that Denard does.
Whoever said that Braxton Miller is as fast as Denard is a moron. He just caught by 3 different Huskers.
To be fair, the move he put on the MLB was absolutely sick.
I think he does have a little more jiggle to him and may be harder to bring down. Definitely not as fast though.
If my wife looks like Alex Flanagan when she's that age I will not be disappointed.
Pretty funny that Meyer has them wasting time learning a stupid pre-game clapping BS routine. Also, they're fucked if Miller is seriously injured.
Martinez pulling his best Denard against ND impression right now? Has at least one more pick to go I believe.
Taylor gonna Martinez
Martinez threw an awesome pass....to Roby. Braxton Miller is back in the game, and promptly makes Nebraska pay for its attempt at short pass innovation. 21-17 Ohio.
Nebraska is such a bipolar team. Sometimes they look downright scary and other times, their defense is getting torched and Martinez is throwing really bad interceptions.
you guys.
Should be interesting game in Lincoln
I wonder if it will come down to an Ugly Interception Contest.
Is 1st and 10 just not good enough for Nebraska? Does Martinez prefer the challenge of 1st down and 20?
That being said, what was nearly a perfect pass to Kenny Bell was marred by penalties...but thanks to Christian Bryant, Nebraska has superb field position.
Christian Bryant, such a dirty face mask tackle, similar to the gholston-denard play
There's the OSU tackling we love, TD Nebraska.
A Big 12 game is breaking out in Columbus.
Nothing like that solid B1G defense... 45 combined points before the half
It really is sad isn't it?
... Has some discipline problems. This I like to see.
That face mask penalty was nasty. Nearly pulled a gholston.
It's like a game from 1975.
What a sloppy fucking game.
This is like Michigan messing with its own brand and getting rid of the winged helmet for a game. It just seems absolutely idiotic.
Wow, not the best defense for Brasky out of their timeout.
Funny how Golson for ND is out for a rules violation but he sits out for one drive and then he is in the rest of the game.
Thats ND for ya.
How does every team play their worst game against ND? That has always bugged me. Yea, their defense forces errors. But teams also make more unforced errors against the Irish than at any other time in their season. Miami has dropped 14-21 points that have been right in receivers hands. Then there was the botched roughing the punter call that got the ND offense going in the first place. OU and USC should both be able to pass all over ND, but I feel like they will both pull major derps.
Because ytm blows?
Michigan also played easily their worst game against ND. And Miami has not been dropping these passes all year. Morris has been setting ACC records for passing, but all of a sudden the passes are all being dropped.
Nebraska still playing Big 12 defense. OSU not far behind.
I see this game ending like our 2000 game with Northwestern score wise. Somewhere around 54-51.
Dear Al Borges...I hope you're watching OSU/Nebraska
We HAVE to steal that QB Counter that OSU is running with Miller. It's just like that delayed HB counter that MSU and ND love to run, but just don't give it to the RB, use him as a lead blockers and led Denard run the whole counter.
GREAT design!
Husker defense is not good
Anyone else catch the a-state reference by musberger in the Georgia game.
Big win for Michigan, and my Gamecocks are putting a smack-down on Georgia. Just beautiful!
Looks like Texas just blinked. All WV has to do is keep scoring TDs and they pretty much can't lose.
My friend.
Wow Texas. Going for it on fourth and a mile with over half a quarter left? Sounds like they don't have much faith in their D.
Not only was that almost certainly the right play but I'd be tempted to try a couple of random onside kicks in every game against WV. The value of a possession is very high in those games (they and their opponents are averaging about 4.5 points per drive)--flipping possession just once could be a game changer.
To answer Kirk's question, this SC game reminds me of Michigan-PSU 97. Supposed to be a great game between top teams. It wasn't.
Georgia over-rated or South Carolina that dominate?
I sure as hell wouldn't want to play SC, I'll tell you that much. Do they play Bama this year?
LSU and then Florida. Both away games. Going to be tough.
Probably.
Still a ways to go and they'll need to get past Florida, but probably.
average vs Mizzou. The only UGA game I watched.
South Carolina that dominate
Y U NO USE RIGHT WORD?
Grammer police! So sorry. I hope I didn't offend thee.
in college football outside of a few schools makes me sad
You could say the same thing about kicking. As Texas misses a field goal.
There's some weird things going on in the Texas/WVU game. Seriously, what just happened the past 3 minutes?
That thing where they snap the ball to someone who drops the ball onto his foot and kicks it down the field? It's called a punt.
What? They still haven't done that? Never mind then....
West Virginia in conference play has forced more turnovers than punts, they've had more turnovers than punts, they've made more fourth down stops than they've forced punts, they've gone for fourth down more times than they've punted.
I wonder if this will ever become normal?
Miami is not a good team.
We have the best defense in the Big Ten.
We have the best team in the Big 10.
That you can even think that is a testament to the wholesale changes over the past 21 months.
Consistency!
Ouch. Burkhead looks like he got the wind knocked out of his knee
the wind gets knocked out of them.
Burkhead injured left knee. jeez, seems like more and more injuries every week.
What could Vegas put the O/U at for a WV game that would make you seriously consider taking the under? Right now it's just easy money.
Man this TX-WVU game is fun to watch....
I think Buie could play four more quarters.
Just makes it clear how badly we need to find a good running back. It's the biggest weakness on our team
That my friend, is a gross understatement. I like Fitz, but if he can't get it done, then I am in favor of Rawls or the new blood getting some reps. Running Denard 20+ times makes me nervous.
then Nebraska is in real trouble. Their defense can not carry them.
Question: You are down 10 with less than a minute left. You need two scores no matter what. At what point do you kick the FG and give yourself enough time to score if you get the onside kick?
Apparently.
166
We will pound the ball down NEBs throat
Goodwin came back in the Tex./ WVU game to make a TD catch. He had the ahem "wind" knocked out of him. He dropped the ball and landed funny like Golston.
Nebraska's defense is atrocious.
Truth.
Fox announcers just said "What a bounce-back for West Virginia's defense" after giving up 45 points to Texas. Looks like expectations are low for them
What the hell is going on? Texas lost but Texas A&M actually did BETTER in the second half than the first?
Well I didn't see South Carolina winning by 28
NC State has closed to within 16-10 of Florida State with 13 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Given FSU's joke of a schedule this year, it would be nice to see them finally slip up.
Yeah, I'm having a hard time remembering it either at this point...
LOL @ the refs completely missing a block in the back on that OSU punt return.
I always enjoy when the punter just falls down like Austin Powers' dad walked into the room.
Maybe Nebraska should consider the spread punt as well.
Terrible defense and explosive but mistake prone offense reminds me of 2010
Well, I guess this result is good for us in the standings.
Denard should be able to eat plenty against both teams.
I still think a night game at Lincoln is going to be very tough.
I'm so confident right now about this season.
this rooting for ohio 2 weeks in a row is very, very difficult, I can't wait for them to play a leaders division game so that I can root against them mofos.
If OSU holds onto this game they will most likely be top 10....Immensely overrated
What in the fuck is Oregon wearing? They look like giant bottles of Mellow Yellow out there. And boy does Miami stink.
What is worse: Matt Millen or Nike U's latest ungodly uniform?
Answer: both
Granted Oregon's fan base is rightfully crazed over their team, but does anyone over there have it in them to say that a different uni every week doesn't build their team brand, it just lines Nike's pockets?
Oregon's pockets so I doubt they're very conscerned about it
As far as the admin goes, but the fan base should be different, no? I think the majority of us think changing the uniforms so frequently is more a negative than a plus, right? They've gotta have some dissenters, or at least fashion sense, out there.
Michigan's identity is tradition. Oregon's is flash and chrome and lightning speed. I love the winged helmet, etc. but what Oregon does with their jerseys is badass.
It's what they do on the field that's badass. If they weren't good, then the uniform changes would be ridiculed mercilessly.
@Penn State is the only game where I wouldn't be surprised if Ohio lost(not including us). They are likely to finish 10-2 at the worst, but they aren't even that good of a football team.
They're no Alabama, Oregon, or WVU. Although Ohio's D is somewhat better than WVU's.
Looks like our division should be decided during the stretch of Oct 20-Nov 3 when UM-MSU-UN-L play their round robin. Win both of those games and we are 2 up on one team and 3 up on the other while holding pretty much all of the tie breakers.
We need someone else to upend them. At least one is guaranteed two losses because they still have to play each other.
The OSU game still scares me. Almost a full year in the system, the OC seems to know how to use a mobile QB, and the defense seems good at intercepting poor throws.
Denard will have a field day against Nebraska.
Especially without David to prevent him from taking it to the house a couple times with diving tackles.
Their recruiting never took a turn because of nike. The kids want to play for a tea that uses different unis is a myth. They only want to go to a team that wins.
I think you are really underestimating how much of an effect seeing those Nike perks can have on these kids.
Oregon still has not won a NC under Chip Kelly.
Most of the points given up in the last 3 games was because of TO's by our Offense, this staff is doing a great job of teaching these young guys on our team. Just think how good our D will be with more experience, next year our D is gonna be lights out.
Really loved the way Rawls ran, I hope he gets more time, Fitz looks very average this year.I was very happy with the gameplan today, keep it simple Coach Al, don't ask Denard to be Tom Brady, ask him to be Denard.
once again our back 7 will be very good, but the Dline will be very young and inexperienced. So much the same next year.
I do give full marks to the D coaches, they obviously know how to coach guys up on dline
When is the last time they could actually cal themselves the "Blackshirts?"
Surley not tonight, they look terrible on D.
Case in point: the Blackshirts haven't been awarded yet this season (for good reason).
Does GERG coach for Nebraska?
Be sure and let us know how the Nebraska faithful were treated in Columbus once they return back to Lincoln with their stories.
The handful of representatives that OSU sent to Lincoln last year was bad enough. That's the main reason I didn't try to get tickets and drive down to Columbus this year.
In their own environment.
Hey y'all. Missed the game today, but wanted to catch the replay on BTN2go; I can't get it to let me log into my directv account through BTN. I can through directv's website, but when I login to the app it just keeps kicking me back out to select my provider. I just wanna watch me some damn footbaw after wandering aimlessly though parade homes a WHOLE WEEK past wife day and I can't get it to work. Someone help me.
Problem with the app. ESPN app used to be a problem too but they fixed it. Hopefully the BTN folks get on it too...
LOL @ the Nessler saying ohio will be in the "top-10" tomorrow.
Maybe in the AP, which is a novelty poll. Doesn't do squat for you except put a pretty little number next to your name.
The coaches poll is what matters. It's 1/3 of the BCS. Why isn't ohio ranked in that poll, Brad?
NO B1G team deserves to be in the top 10. I'm honestly kind of pissed about how much love Neb and Ohio are getting. Shit, Neb gave up a school record to UCL-freaking-A on defense before kneel downs, and Ohio was LAST in the conference befere the MSU in total D (even behind UCL-freaking-A). Hell, they might be last again after this game. And because thier records are good they're automatically top 10?? Sometimes people piss me off and I don't think they are deserving of any relevent thought.
ohio may be wacking nebraska now, but Michigan did last year. And they actually played something called defense.
Ohio State and Michigan, the two best teams in the Big Ten, where only one can actually win the championship. Tradition!
And by 'old school football' you mean completely unblocked into an RPS-3 play? Yes, that IS the best Ohio's defense they can do.
Flipped over to NCState-FSU, because it is still in doubt, and here the announcer say "but I wanna see it when it gets hard."
They can be a completely different team at home than on the road. But...yeah. That defense is a friggin' sieve.
No. Ohio has one of the worst D's in the conference. They remind me of Michigan 2010 except the B1G is worse if that is possible.
Yes Mr. Commentator. Let's talk about John Simon's motor. And how it contributed to over 400 yards of offense, SO FAR IN ONLY HALF WAY THROUGH THE FOURTH QUARTER, and 30 something points. God, they would be losing this game if Neb even had a semblance of a defense.
NC State in the redzone down 6 with 90 seconds left on ESPN2
NC STATE TOUCHDOWN!!!! About to upset FSU!
And once again, the overrated FSU team goes down. Eat my shit, Phil Steele.
And Herbstreit. On multiple occasions.
I'm actually kind of looking forward to a Bama/ WVU championship now. Until WVU loses in the Backyard Brawl..
It's looking like this season is setting up to have more lamenting and gnashing of teeth at the end than ever before. A lot of teams a step below Bama with one and two losses out there. Oregon has the potential to lose one with Stanford and USC left and WVU is gonna have a tough road being unfamiliar with everyone on their schedule. Really we might as well just give the trophy to Bama now though. Nobody has even a fighting chance the way everyone has looked so far in comparison.
Oregon may have something to say about that. Washington doesn't look like they should be on the same field as Oregon.
Holy shit NC State. I love you right now. Don't fuck it up.
This totally makes my night. Overrated/overhyped teams getting exposed.
Yes, but ND is still standing.
What do you think? This might be one game situation where the onside kick from the 50 isn't such a good idea.
Good God am I smarter than the CFB analysts and pundits. FSU to the MNCG this, easy ACC schedule that. I knew all along they'd mess it up. They might be a good team, overall, but damn did these idiots really think they'd go undefeated?? Overrated is the notion, once again, in Tallahassee.
Note: Glad I noticed I was on 666 posts for most of the evening...Where were you all at on that one!!?!
That's becaus everybody sucks. Literally everybody sucks (in 'pundint's terms') except for Alabama. People seem to forget 19-20 year olds tend to not be the most reliable people in the world.
Good point on most everyboyd always forgetting (subconsiously) that we're watching and entertaining ourselves with 18-22 year olds. It's just kind of funny, to me, when it seems the same programs seem to revel in underachieveing and getting hyped to always let down, and no one seems to notice the "pattern".
YES! YES! YES!!!!
Suck on that, Florida State.
Why aren't they rushing the field? This right here is when you do it.
They have a history of knocking off Florida State. Maybe they're too used to it to care.
Florida State gonna Florida State
My prediction:
The loser of the Florida/South Carolina game will play Alabama for the national championship.
Blog Poll mass chaos! I think Brian might actually put West Virginia #3 behind Alabama and Oregon.
Sooo...UM number one in the Legends's division at this point?
Tied with Iowa. So, yes.
Tied for first with iowa when this game is final.
after two weeks Wisconsin is still the only eligible team in the Leaders with a win.
But I thought Purdue was going to win it all. Herbstreit told me that.
I was trying to work this out earlier: if OSU and PSU sweep everyone in their division, somebody could "win" it with a 3-5 record? Indiana could play for the title at 5-7, theoretically? Go to the Rose Bowl at 6-7, theoretically?
If so this would be beyond awesome.
THAT'S what I call LEADERSHIP
there are only two eligible B1G teams left that are undefeated in conference: Michigan and Iowa at 1-0. BIG TEEENNNNNNN!!
One of these days, Ohio is going to lose because Miller is going to have a bad day. Probably against a team that isn't in the bottom fourth in D in conference or nation. Fortunatly for them MSU has a bottom fourth O to accompany their awesome D. Such is the life a team in the B1G.
meyer is such a dickhead. Running the score up when he could have taken a knee.
Cosigned.
Urban is keeping it classy.
Nebraska is one of the big boys, they don't need pity.
Indeed. Meyer is a dick for doing that but I have no sympathy for Nebraska. They ran up the score like that on many opponents for many years. It's called karma.
That's a perfectly fair viewpoint, but I would point out one difference. NU would run up the score in the fourth quarter with a fullback dive by a walk-on from Ogallala. Urban ran his starting back outside the tackles up 18 with 50 seconds left. Nonetheless, it's the defense's responsibility to stop the guy with the ball, and NU can't, well, do that. No sympathy for NU requested, just venom for Meyer, please.
I submit that there's a bit of space in between 'pity' and 'being an asshole' that Urban could have shot for. That said, the defense needs to notice that one team is still playing and try to make contact with the guy carrying the brown oblong object before he embarrasses you even further.
To be clear: Urban = jerk; NU defense = theoretical.
Is wet
And get into the BCS Championship game.
Oh, wait...
is gonna win the rest of their games, at Neb will be challenging and so will ohio but I like our chances.
Just think, had we not gifted the Irish that victory where we pretty much dominated them, we would have 1 loss and near or in the top ten after todays Purdue shellacking.
I say we end up anywhere from 10-4 to 12-2 this year. See what I did there, I have us in the BTCG
I hope they drop a million on Iowa for senior day and for last year's mess.
That OSU D is awful. Denard is going to shred them yet again.
No. No. No. No. No. South Carolina is not for real. They almost lost to freaking Vandy. And the team with one of the worst teams in B1G is the best team?!?? Because their non-confernece sucked? And MSU has the worst scoring O in the B1G and Neb one of the worst D's in the B1G!? Why do these people have jobs still?
You can't expect them to say "Hey all, we don't know what the fuck is going on in college football"
I would respect them so much more if they admitted that college football is such a high variablity game that it's incredablity difficult to identify anybody but the very best and the very worst, and all guessing about 'who's the best' is useless untill about 12 weeks into the season.
with these morons' opinions printed on them? I'd rather figure things out for myself.
And we almost lost to Air Force. Teams have off games every now and again
Oregon looks sick nasty on both sides of the ball.
And their unis are puke-tastic!
I would have a hard time rooting for a team that changes its look on a weekly basis. It seems wrong somehow.
I'd have no problem doing so if they were facing Alabama...or any other SEC team in the NC.
I hope Oregon plays Bama for the title so if we make it to the rose bowl we won't play Oregon
We'll see -- but right now, Bama v. Oregon seems to be a decent bet.
I forgot Oregon was playing tonight. That's ok though because I makes me a starter for Washington. The only thing I know from tuning in is that the PAC-12 is Oregon, USC and then everyone else minus WSU.
I'd throw USC in that thread. Stanford beat USC, Washington beat Stanford, Oregon currently thrashing that same Washington team.
I just think its Oregon then everyone else in the Pac 12, I think USC could lose a couple more
I just give USC the benefit of the doubt that they had a bad game but I could live with them out as well. Stanford is overrated but at the same time many teams are so I guess they might be spot on given the turmoil of the top 25.
Cal apparently wears maize jerseys at home. It is amusing to see them handling UCLA.
Iowa at Michigan State next week, could be by our lonesome at the top of the division.
Not much in the way of good games next week, hence the Illinois @ Michigan being the ABC game.
Kansas State goes to Iowa State in a battle of unbeatens.
South Carolina goes to LSU, cocks for real for real?
Maybe Tenn at Miss State will be good.
I think it's hilarious that Iowa State is undefeated and Auburn is 1-4
and prepare for a week of the ND hype train being ramped up as they host Stanford next week, which I care nothing about.
