Noon games open thread

Not the best slate of games, but you never know.

Minnesota-PSU might be decent.

Purdue goes for that coveted first victory against Iowa.

Auburn-Tennessee, FSU-Wake, Mizzou-Kentucky and Texas Tech-KSU are top 25 matchups on right now.

Here's a quick tip for those considering building a college football stadium:  Don't put a brick wall five feet away from your endzone.  Ridiculously dangerous design at WF.

Halftime on field interview of acting Minnesota Head Coach Tracy Claeys just made me more angry about the PSU game.

Interviewer - "Coach you're known as a running team, 241 yards through the air, why has the passing come alive today?"

Claeys - "Ya know they've crowded the box...........

The funny thing is that they still need to give up another 280 yards or so to reach their average in yards allowed, but if there is an SEC team that can manage to stay above average in a bad way lately, it might be Tennessee.

I'm not saying they should. But clearly a lot of teams do it at some point. I'm of the same opinion as you, however we do use matte helmets and gray face masks and numbers on helmets for no reason as well

I wonder if PSU will just go max protect and start flinging it deep.  I don't think it will matter as long as Minny doesn't let off the gas and go into Lloyd mode.

For everyone who wants Hoke to get more "animated" on the sideline, I hope you all just saw how feaking stupid BoB looked just then...AND he was wearing a headset.

just open it in a new window and copy that link, then paste that into the image URL box of your post.

I've got a flickr account too, but they've changed the site so many times I can't remember where their code is.  I guess you could open your own flickr gif ina new window & do the same thing.

Remember the ABC announcer who called the Mich/Minny game who spent the entire three hours slobbering and lusting over the Gophers QB? In the second half, he pretty much had an orgasm every time the guy completed a 5 yard pass. Every game since Minnesota lost to us must be pure porn for him.

Penn State backed up at their own 2 yard line after being nowhere near the ball on that punt. Interestingly, getting 98 yards on this drive would actually increase their total offensive yards by about 40% or so - rough figuring there. What is strange is that they are moving the ball better than they normally do, just not getting much out of it - something like 0.27 points per play or so.
