It is important to note at this point that Nebraska has given up 221 yards so far in the half to Minnesota and they've managed to give it up at nearly a 7 yards per snap clip. Hard to believe they were just talking about a sole defender being misaligned.

I'd love to see NE go down.  They thought their shit was floral after beating a Denardless M team at home, at night last year.  Screw the Huskers right now.

Nebraska was spoon-fed that win last year. Our defense was on the field at least 80% of the game and still managed to hold that "vaunted, elite" offense to 23 points. On their turf.

I have a feeling we will put another serious beating on Nebraska this year.

this "road to Indianapolis" jazz that was going on yesterday, and how it was going to be damn near impossible for Michigan to get there... how does that change if Minny beats Nebraska?

State plays Michigan, Nebraska, and NW in succession, Nebraska and NW being on the road for Sparty.  If NW gets Colter and Mark back by then, they can very well win that game.

I think our road to Indy goes through EL next week. If we can get out of there with a win, I really like our chances. Northwestern's season is teetering on collapse, Nebraska sucks in road games, which bodes well for us, Iowa is improved but is not getting to Indy. Bottom line: we need that tiebreaker over MSU.

Yeah we could still lose to OSU, but our two losses would be cross-divisional losses. Take care of business next week, and we've got a great shot to make it to Indy.

I'm not saying we're going to lose to OSU, I'm just saying if we beat everyone else besides them it wouldn't matter, as we'd be 5-0 in divisional play.

But I agree. Judging by how closely OSU has been skating by in the last few games, their luck is bound to run out soon enough. I think it ending in Ann Arbor is a legitimate possibility. We'll have to be on top of our game, but we're a different team at home, and there's no way Hoke won't have his boys ready come Nov. 30th.

Because it's our conference record that determines whether we get into the Big Ten Championship game.

If we are 5-0 in division, lose to Ohio State, and Michigan State only loses to us, they would play in Indy because they would have 1 B1G loss (to us) while we would have two (Penn State, Ohio State.

Its really not that weird at all, its how every division based system works.  Look at the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, any sport really....if there is a division based playoff spot it is acheived based on your overall record not your record against your division.
