Noon games open thread

Submitted by Avant's Hands on

Some pretty decent games going on at noon finally. TCU-OSU (NTOSU) should be a good one on FOX. And TT-WV features the last undefeated team in the Big XII. South Car-Tenn and UGa-Vandy could be interesting. Florida-Mizzou is suddenly a big game that starts at 12:30. And if you really hate yourself you can watch Sparty beat up on Purdue or see NW-Minny.

TT already up on WV

I'm not all for the "OMG MSU GAVE UP RUSHING YARDS THE SEASONS OVER" overreactions here early, but yeah, Vegas must've been drunk giving MSU a +28 point spread. I get that their offense is semi-functioning now, but it was Iowa and Indiana.

I forgot about Baylor in the Big XII. Weird that Tech and Baylor are the last unbeatens there.

As for the Georgia game, UGa is missing several of their best playmakers which means Vandy may be able to make a game of it.

Mizzou already up on Florida 7-0

TT is tough to read, although it looks like they are handling WV pretty well so far. I agree that Kingsbury was a good hire. I don't know much about him so I wonder if he would bolt for SC or if he is more in the Fitzgerald mold where he wants to stay at Tech and build something. It would be nice to see Texas knocked down a little bit after basically holding that conference hostage during realignment.

Florida-Mizzou looks like an old time SEC game. Which is to say that it might end 13-10 unless someone breaks something on special teams. I don't hate the Rutgers-Maryland moves as much as most here, but it really is a shame we didn't grab Louisville and Mizzou instead. I actually don't know their academic reputations, but their major sports teams are on an upswing. Never thought Mizzou would be holding their own in the SEC already

State only leading because the D scored a TD. I thought their Offense looked good last week. I give up.

Florida is clearly the MSU of the SEC. The defense is pretty nasty, but that offense is horrible. Good pass goes right through the hands of a receiver and is picked off, giving Mizzou good field position.

Minn tied with NWST.  NWST looking like they may have been overreated.  They looked good against OSU, but terrible against Wiscy.  Their best win so far is Syracuse, a team that probably finishe in the bottom half of the ACC.  Cal is awful, they almost lost to a 3-4 DII team. WMU is winless and NWST only beat Maine by 14 in a game where Maine outgained them.

It's easy to distinguish the OSU and USC teams by adding "c," "e," or "w" after the school's acronym.

Great game on ESPN. Looks like Clowney finally decided to he wants to do something this season.

None of the so-called "good" B1G teams are looking good early.  MSU's O is back to it's early season self and Northwestern tied up with Minnesota.  Hope this theme doesn't carry-over to the UM game.

Abysmal clock management by Purdue at the end of the half... 1 minute left at the 40, run (gain of 3, let 20 seconds run off), pass (loss of 4, let another 20 seconds run off and then take a timeout), pass (sack, and then take another timeout with 10 seconds left), go for it on 4th. What the fuck?
