syracuse going for 2 to tie Northwestern...but they are currently reviewing the TD.

Ermahgard, defend the slant. Ugh.

That's the game for Ohio.

Ohio over PSU was the conventional wisdom "upset" but still... I be like dang.

Is anyone better at blowing big leads than NW?

What do you guys think about Stanford only beat SJSU 20-17?
September 1st, 2012 at 3:18 PM ^
Shaw isn't a great coach and they don't have Andrew Luck. It's gonna be a rough couple years for them
September 1st, 2012 at 3:27 PM ^
It's gonna be a little tougher without Andrew Luck and all those graduated offensive linemen. Sure, they got a ton coming in but Luck made that team go. Hiring David Shaw reminds me of WVU tapping Bill Stewart (RIP Stew).

Yikes. PSU decommits coming by the trainload in...3...2...1.

Penn State should get used to losing to teams from the MAC. They're going to be mediocre-to-bad for many years.

Penn State is an embarassment to the conference.
But ESPN will say anything, "Bobcats looking for the biggest win in program history!" Does ESPN list "Must be a damn buffoon" when they post announcing jobs?

Penn State looked a bit tired and definitely out of their comfort zone on defense. This could also be Ted Roof showing why he is often mentioned as being one of the modern masters as a defensive coordinator...oh wait...

Syracuse got a nice break with Colter's helmet coming off
September 1st, 2012 at 3:21 PM ^
His helmet was clearly pulled off. Isn't he allowed to stay in in that case?
September 1st, 2012 at 3:21 PM ^
This is really stupid. I've seen at least 5 helmets come off today and the sit-out rule really sucks.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:22 PM ^
September 1st, 2012 at 3:26 PM ^
Until a player gets 15 yards for a facemask penalty AND the QB stays on the field. The rule isn't stupid, tighten your helmet and it isn't a problem.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
That's not true. Helmets today (not all) are designed to come off more easily than they used to. It's supposed to prevent injuries when someone gets their head twisted, etc...
September 1st, 2012 at 3:23 PM ^
And they convert. Wow. There is some fight left in them, although I still think they'll lose this.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
You are right.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:23 PM ^
Not surprised at all, thought the bobcats matched up well against Penn St all offseason. Good to see they could weather the conservative play calling from Solich. Their defense really buckled down in the second half.

Ohio gets an interception. This one is over.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
I'm torn between loving that the PSU fan base has to deal with this team and hating that it makes the B1G look even worse.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:29 PM ^
for $60 million.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
Well that should do it, PSU is going to suck for a long time.
September 1st, 2012 at 6:19 PM ^
I was actually impressed by them in the first quarter so I chaged the game and when I checked the final score i could not believe it. What happened in the middle of the game?
September 1st, 2012 at 3:26 PM ^
Maybe McGloin will have his yearly Heismanesque game against OSU. That would be cool.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:27 PM ^
If the Northwestern DL doesn't jump, he gets a sack. Never leave your feet unless the ball is already in the air.
He's lucky that pass was barely out of bounds
September 1st, 2012 at 3:29 PM ^
Geno Smith- 33/37 340 yds 4 td 0 int, 8 rushes for 65 yds and 1 td, not too shabby.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:31 PM ^
Marshall is, in a word, terrible.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:36 PM ^
September 1st, 2012 at 3:40 PM ^
That completion % is good against anybody. But yeah, Marshall's defense is awful.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
Four incomplete passes out of 37 is impressive. We'll see if he has a run like RGIII did last season where after three or four games he had more TD passes than incompletions.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:30 PM ^
So what, that's like Penn State's 112th consecutive loss?

Penn State looked terrible.....talent level is already down.....before this season is over, they might be begging for the death penalty.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
Jeebus Northwestern.....
