I think Penn State's defense will give the NW offense trouble. They've played some pretty bad teams in BCS conferences. Air Force will win by more than the spread, and Indiana will keep the game respectable until MSU finally gets IU's unedited tapes at half, make adjustments and breaks out the run game.

IU keeps it close until the MSU players gouge out the eyes of every Hoosier player.  After that, MSU unleashes its potent offense for 4 FG's, while the Spartan defense stifles the Hoosiers with 2 safeties, and 2 pick 6's, causing the media to gush over the ability of Tom Gholston to blow up plays against recently blinded players.

Was I the only person that felt nothing when Corso and Herbstreit picked Purdue? Herbstreit has a crazy theory to defend regarding the Big Ten, and Corso clearly chose Purdue because, in his inner monologue, la de da la de la la de da de do fum fum.

I've been reading/listening/watching all week about how Purdue is going to win.  I don't fricken see it.  I think we win comfortably by 10-24 points.  Purdue's offense doesn't scare me at all.  I've been hearing about how great there defense is, has anyone looked at the box scores of all their games? They're overrated.

Corso and Herbstreit made me nervous when they both picked Purdue to win today. I really don't know what to think about the M game. Both games on the road this year have been terrible thus far, so I guess that is why I'm nervous today. If M loses, it's going to be another long year.

Indiana is gonna score more than just the opening drive, too. Maxwell was starting to throw better the last few games, but I'm actually thinking its possible for Indiana to outscore Sparty at home today. It'll come down to how Sparty can run today.

Because Penn State's Ficken troubles continue (he's 2-8 on FGs), they were going to try for it on  4th and 9, but a little pre-snap shenanigans make it 4th and 14 and they decide instead to punt (come on, Bill, you can make that!). Naturally, Northwestern gets it from about the 1 yard line.

Well, my HD feed of BTN has been without sound for the past 20 minutes. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Better be fixed by the Michigan game though.

I am LOLing at Sparty. Allowed a quick TD and then they went three and out.

THEY'RE ALL GAY ON THAT TEAM.

Indiana against MSU. Just think that MSU's confidence is fragile. Also see that IU is up seven.

Isn't this their big cross-sectional rivalry game? Be great if IU could make that a little more real.

About 14-15 plays, mainly short passes to set up the run, run, get first   down, drop pass near end zone, bring on FG unit, end with an FG which Sam Ficken mircaulously makes. Apparent elapsed time of drive: 1 year.

3-0 Penn State.

The overriding message from the Big Ten commercial on ESPN is that, when backlight, Danny Hope's mustache looks much more evil.

We return to the game, with McGloin completing a 7-yard dart, to...yes...set up the run, which Northwestern  stuffs short of the 1st down marker. 3rd and 1.
