so much for that

This Spartan defense is impressive. My Sparty friends knew what they were talking about when they said Dantonio would lead them to National Championships (plural) last year.
How many times have you been on the freeway and had someone fly by you at 100 mph then end up 2 cars ahead of you at the off ramp? What's the point? -Mark Harmon
Damn, that was ballsy.

what happened on the onside kickoff........NEXT QUESTION

This is fucking great, Go Indiana!!!!!
Go Blue
I thought the onside kick had to bounce under the new rules? Either way, what a bold call.
I thought that too but then I recalled that there's a fair catch component. Maybe the receiving team has an option to faird catch until the second bounce? MSU did not do that.
How do you not get at least a yard out of that screen?
There are no corners in space.
Maybe somebody on the IU staff reads MGoBlog.
Or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
i'm really glad we don't play Indiana this year. their offense seems kinda corky
C'mon IU. Don't blow this TD chance.
There are no corners in space.
Of course MSU is "not prepared for what they are seeing". Nobody knew Indiana had this in them - go Hoosiers!

Indiana booing a MSU player who is down. Didn't they do that to Denard a few years ago?
Edit: Or maybe they cheered when Denard was down.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I'm really digging Northwestern's uniforms.

UM can learn something from this screen game. MSU looks vulnerable.
LOL Sparty.
not just "douchey" MGoBlog user, but now TRUSTED MGoBlog user
lol they're talking about 1997 Michigan during the Sparty game. MSU fans have to love that.

Did anybody else think the Big Ten Network poll question at the beginning of the broadcast was hilarious? They asked: Between Indiana and MSU, who has the better WR duo? I can't imagine anyone thinking that MSU has any receiver that compares to Hughes or Wilson.
When Borges gets his offense going with Shane, are there screens built into it? Are we going to get a return to the days when A-Train or Perry was regularly catching screen passes out of the backfield? That was fun.
Nick Hill got trucked. heh
There are no corners in space.
I'd love it if MSU had to punt here.

Stadium is about 1/3 empty.
Sparty is a National draw, apparently.

MSU will punt, and with no timeouts left for Indiana, the score is likely this at halftime. It's the little victories in life, like MSU losing by 13 to Indiana going into halftime...

Well, so much for the Sparty meme:

Just took a look over at the MGoBlog pick'em: only 9 out of 44 picked Indiana this week, even getting 15 1/2 points.
166 yrds for MSU to IU's 256...add to that 105 penalty yards against MSU...this is nuts. IU trending for a 500 yard offensive performance while holding MSU to just over 300.
C'mon Hoosiers, give us Wolverines a gift today!

The all-time record for penalty yards by a team in an FBS game is 238. (On only 13 penalties--I'm not sure how that happened.)
State has a chance to break it if they don't lose their discipline in the second half.
Any way to look up most personal fouls by one team that wasn't involved in an on-field brawl a la Miami-FIU?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!
