Not so fun when unblocked guys are coming up the middle on your own team, eh, Sparty?

Come on, Indiana. TIme for a touchdown drive.
Pride before the fall, fellas. Looks like Dan Antonio failed at keeping his team grounded this year and it's really showing.
Haha Dan Antonio. When did they fire Mark Dantonio.
Wow....the MSU OLine is looking horrible. Maxwell has absolutely no time to get set up, and IU is living in their backfield. I can't wait for Jake Ryan to make life a living hell for Maxwell in 2 weeks.
OK Indiana you have to do more then just screen passes.
Indiana is just outplaying Staee. They're outscheming them, and easily outdisciplining them, and but they also just MAAKE PLAAAYYS!
Indiana playing not to lose right now. Come on.
Maxwell is something on the order of 16-for-29 forabout 180 yards by my figuring....which probably makes the ground and/or the MSU version of Tacopants by far their most effective receiver today.
PSU TD after going for it on 4th at the ten. Now going for 2.
EDIT: got it.
PSU goes for it on 4th at the 5 yard line and gets the TD and then the 2 points. 28-25 NW.
These announcers are so used to seeing crappy plays, that any decent catch looks amazing for MSU
Was 2.5 point favorites.
IU needs to bring a blitz again. They seem to get to Maxwell every time they do.
I have a feeling that this MSU drive ends in a turnover.
Michigan State is the only B1G team with a SEC defense ? Ummmmmm right
Burbridge is going to be a player if he can hold on to the ball. Hopefully Countess is back full speed next year.
Aaron Burbridge is looking pretty solid. Makes me sad.
Also, one of these days Bell is going to break himself trying to hurdle people.
I really want to see a guy bury his helmet in Bell's sack next time he tries that.
Aaron Burbridge with some nice catches out there...
Burbridge is doing well against Indiana corners. The hype is a little silly.
4th and 1 from the two for MSU. Interesting decision coming here.
Dantonio is an idiot if he doesn't go for it here.
they should take the points.. still alot of time left for the TD
Sad that Indiana's offense decided to play like wimps towards the end here. They could've put this game away by now.
If I was Dantonio I would go for it. If you can't get one yard with Bell against Indiana, you probably don't deserve to win. Might not get this great of a chance again.
Damn, Indiana gets the push again on a short yardage play, but can't get the stop.
Nice work, Indiana. Way to know the situation.
Again, Indiana probably should have stopped that. That should be reviewed, though. His knee hit early.
Review that spot. Bell was down behind the marker.
That looks like a first down. Surprised this is taking any time to review.
that's a first down and its not even close
Why no goal line cams?
So is MSU the only team in the country with a 5 star recruit at fullback?
It was close, but I think he was there.
i know MSU will score.. but this is killing the clock
sound like a genius
There's a reason they are on the early-morning MSU-IU game.
If Indiana can answer with a TD, this game will be over. Please, please, please..
are BTN announcers being such Sparty slappies?
"What a way to finish the drive." Wtf is this guy talking about?
Who knows. Probably memories of his sparty wet dream as he claims dantonio is the dean of discipline or calling Tom Gholston and Johnny Adams all Americans.
You have to figure MSU wins this one in the end. Still, though, good fight by Indiana. Maybe PSU can still help us out.
That drive took around 8 minutes. If IU can get a TD here MSU is going to lose.
This is why you are Indiana, Indiana.
Good god those IU band unis are fugly.
Wow, watching Penn State games is insufferable. Their band literally plays SNA after every snap.
OU with the safety, likely ending Buffalo's chances. 33-24, 7:45 to go.
Edit: safety overturned, 31-24 still, 6 mins to go.
Okay IU, Sparty knows you're gonna throw a screen pass. Might be time to adjust.
why won't they run the ball just a little??
Yikes. No clock burning here, and if they punt it might be over...
Come on IU.
Indiana is going to blow it
You can just feel the nervousness setting in. Definitely going to blow it.
IU need to mix up the playcalling here. You can only run screens for so long.
What an awful kick.
C'mon Sparty. Do something stupid.
MSU is going to pull this one out of their arsh. Still, it was good to see Sparty receive another scare.
PSU really, really does not trust their kicker. But McGloin actually looks like he might be good somehow. PSU has 2nd and goal.
3 plays and 11 seconds on that drive.........
The whole Indiana team just looked at their jerseys and helmets and went "Oh, right. We're Indiana" and forgot how to play competant football.
I'm feeling a Maxwell pickerception.
Hoosiers gonna Hoose?
Man there was so much potential for a giant Sparty No today. Might still happen but seems unlikely at this point.
Defense needs to step up here.
Either way Sparty has proven again they are vulnerable.
Guess this game just goes to show you never know in rivalry games.
It's sad that Sparty counts Indiana as a rival.
All we need is one more sparty no moment!
With IU running eleven seconds off the clock every drive, they'll need about four more stops.
How can Maxwell miss his TE? That's the only spot that ever gets open.
Man, when Bell is on the outside he alway beats the first guy with the stiffarm.
I know people keep talking up the recruiting at Auburn, but this team has been down for 2 years now and I'm having a hard time believing all of these kids are still going to flock to them when they are wading through a mediocre SEC season.
HAHA typical Indiana.
InDERPana.
So predictable. Poor IU.
Wow. Bennie Fowler made a play. Who wouldda thunk it.
MSU and PSu scored at the same time.
PSU with the score to take the lead. NW bummed, but I'm kind of happy for the Lions given what happened before the season.
Oh well, Indiana tried, they just needed to change things up in the second half but were unable. Maybe they'll pull it out somehow...
I forgot, MSU is playing Indiana
MSU takes the lead. Indiana channels Indiana.
Penn State takes the lead. Northwestern continues to be Northwestern.
Maybe Indiana will grow a pair on offense now that they're trailing.
You gave it your all, Indy.
These announcers sure are blowing Maxwell considering the DB tripped and two other guys missed tackles.
Wow. How can NU let Mcgloin run it in on a broken play?
BIG TEHNNNN!
Damn I was really hoping Northwestern would pull it out.
EMU special teams gave up 2 big plays in 3rd quarter . Kent ran back 2nd kickoff back for TD. Kent ran it for 40 yards on fake punt . EMU down 38- 7 with 3 minutes left in 3rd quarter. Eastern is going to lose its homecoming game.
since Colonial Bank failed.
I'm not sayin'...
I expected a real knock-down, drag-out fight between Staee and Indiana. After all, it is a Big Ten protected cross-divisional rivalry game.
Facepalm.
NU can't convert on the 3rd down.
Assuming Penn State holds on, this a great win for them, showed a lot of heart.
Enjoy it while you can PSU. Enjoy it while you can. Still, makes UM chances better to win the division.
Woahhhhhhhhhh.
Ref makes two snap judgement calls in MSU's favor.
There's no way that ref could see that it was MSU ball. Most likely because the replay made it look like it wasn't.
I have no idea what the officials are doing in this game.
How was that recovered by MSU??
It wasn't. Apparently the officials just decided to miss 5 Indiana players with their hands on the ball.
They ejected the wrong guy. Should have been #19 who punched the guy, sort of.
No, no, the punch was ok....
But if you watch very carefully and read lips through the facemasks you can clearly see Bolser call someone "Tom".
What just happened? It seems like IU got hosed.
Indiana came out of the pile with the ball, how did MSU recover?
Touchdown Penn State to seal it.
EDIT: Well, ALMOST a TD.
Of all the shit we have seen go down with Sparty over the last few years, an INDIANA player finds himself ejected? WTF
How the hell did they come to the conclusion that Sparty recovered that?
HAHA, they have to get back to playing hoosier football, funniest thing I've heard all day.
They have.
That was complete bullshit! IU recovered, and that MSU player was pulling the IU player off the pile, then the IU player kinda punched him in the chest -- nothing big. The ref threw the flag, then went after #83 and kicked him out. Fucking moron, the #19 kid was right in front of him, then walked away.
That's close as you can get without getting a TD.
EDIT: NO WAY that was aTD...not that it matters.
You can count on them to wilt when the game's on the line in the 4th quarter.
for? The only thing I saw was an MSU player yanking at an Indiana's player's head. Also, no idea how they ruled that MSU recovered that.
#19 for IU was the guy the MSU player was pulling off the pile. He pulled his legs, then grabbed the neck of his jersery/shoulder pads. #19 then got up and sort of pushed/punched the MSU player in the chest. The ref was right behind him, and threw the flag. #83, the guy ejected, was still laying on the pile. #19 walked off, not even knowing the flag and been thrown, and the ref then came after #83 and started chewing him out. #83 looked confused as he hadn't hit anyone.
Sparty is luck as shit.
Obvious holding not called.
just like Indiana to blow it
I still can't believe that they ruled MSU recovered that ball.
With 1:36 to go, Penn State tries to insert the final knife, but it looks like the ball was just short of the goal line.
...and it is ruled a TD. The PAT is mere icing. 39-28 is going to be the final unless Northwestern can get two possessions, find some holes and warp Colter through them.
choked on a big dick for the whole second half, playing not to lose. He alone lost this game for IU. He never called a single pass for more than two yards after halftime, even when Narduzzi adjusted up to cover the short stuff. Failure to adjust on offense cost IU the game.
It looked that way for sure. I don't know what MSU's D did differently, but what a collapse.
Flag was for a surprise colonoscopy or something, I don't know what the ref saw but he was PISSED. Gave him the business.
about PSU as a whole and it's fans, you have to give the PSU players some credit for picking themselves off the mat, after a horrible start to the year.
IU has Vanderbilt's same karma. Not only do they lack the skill players to compete, but they always get screwed by the refs when they do have a glimmer of a chance.
Can't really blame the refs for IU's 2nd half.
more than a glimmer of a chance until their offense and defense went into a shell. Why, why, why do coaches do this???????
Penn State announcers just said that Penn State and Ohio State were the best teams in the Big Ten. I understand the argument for Ohio, but Penn State? They lost to a Mac team.
I don't understand either
it is pretty much up in air. I think a couple more conference games need to played before anybody can make any type of definitive statement about who the best teams are. Still not sure why UM is being written off as one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the conference by the national media, though. Obviously, the game last week was ugly, but a seven point loss to an undefeated team when turning it over 6 times shouldn't equal written off status. I don't think that will be the case at the end of the year.
Sparty gets away with a lot of holds. They must practice how to cover it up.
Every team does this. Jake Long brags about his ability to hide holding. What are you really trying to say?
Where was the aggression on offense from Indiana that we saw in the first half??
Dantonio is going to try to score again.
Haha, Lou Holtz' mic is malfunctioning.
Sadly, they're trying to fix it.
Finally they cut of Holtz's mic. Took them too long.
This announcing is just terrible. They are trying so hard to hype up MSU because they know just how bad the Big Ten is.
Classic big ten network
is the loss of Sims. That's a killer for MSU. Maxwell uses Sims a lot.
Looks like Burbridge emerged as his #2 guy now.
Time to get ready for Michigan football!!!!
How about Northwestern? Getting outscored 22-0 in the 4th quarter.
As an IU student that game makes me so mad. Most of it has to do with the QB situation. Nate Sudfeld is a true freshman who has out performed Coffman in every chance he has gotten and yet the coaches won't play him. I think if he would have started IU could have won by a lot. All my friends are confused by the situation as well. IU played extremely hard and that is encouraging at least.
It's mind-boggling.
Glad to see MSU almost lose to Indiana. Shows they are bad and can't play on the road.
