Non-Michigan Night Game Open Thread

Submitted by formerlyanonymous on

The CiL will pick up in a bit, but a couple of late evening/night games are coming up. I plan on catching the start to whichever FoxSports regional game I get, whether that be TexasTech/KState or Stanford/OregonState. Moving to Colorado/Texas, then over to our game.

Also keeping an eye on TCU@AirForce. TCU is top 10 in two different polls, and their one of a few teams I haven't seen play this season. Might be my last time to see them before the BYU game.

Once Michigan starts, I'll be working the CiL, so I won't really be watching any game. I'll be accepting updates on LSU/Florida and GT/FSU. Both look to be good matchups.

More than you probably care to know, but it's a network of a few local channels.

the Go Vandals Network, which includes SWX (6.2 in Spokane-Coeur d'Alene), KLEW (Channel 3 in Lewiston), KYUU (Channel 35 in Boise) and KTID (Channel 58 in Twin Falls), will carry Idaho's games at San Jose State (Oct. 10)

Sounds like the SEC Network. "Go Vandals" is the name of the school's official SID website, so it makes some sense.

And Carter already pays off. They run the obvious "if we line up under center we're qb sneaking" formation to sneak behind Carter on 4th down and a long 1. Thought the play call was kind of weird being on the defensive 40 with that obvious a play call.

Lots of runs so far to work in the backup qb. Sheffield looks like he has a pretty good arm. Not quite there on timing yet.

I type that then he gets a great run after catch on a perfectly thrown ball. 50 yard TD pass, only threw it 9 yards or so.

without his shoulder pads and uni on which drew the textbook observation from the studio host (Brando?) "There's Superman without his cape."

Seriously, it is possible for the media to get any more over the top for this guy?
