No Peppers in 2nd half??

Submitted by BornInA2 on

Sorry if this has been discussed already. If so, I didn't see it.

I don't recall seeing Peppers on the field in the 2nd half on Saturday. Did I miss him due to bloodshot, weepy eyes and, later, rain-smeared camera lenses, or was he really AWOL in the 2nd half and, due to some bizarre alignment of the universe, no one else has mentioned it yet? Maybe the rind really DOES have all the nutrients and I'm seeing more clearly now?

They were unexplicably playing against shotgun 3 wide formations with base personel for 1st and 2nd down.  On third down peppers would come in and RJS/Ross would go out.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not, because playing your base formation against a run-heavy team that utilizes three WRs is pretty SOP around football.

Michigan didn't do that against ND, by contrast. The results of which don't necessarily point to going to a nickel as a bad choice all the time, but it also isn't necessarily the solution either. There are lots of ways to defend teams (FWIW, ND is more pass heavy, so going to nickel makes more sense there).
