No Michigan depth chart for Utah (updated)

So much Harbaugh:

Breaking news from UM ---- Utah game notes are out and......NO depth chart!!!!!

Similar stuff happened at his previous stops, like at the beginning of the 49ers 2013 season:

Are we going to see a lot of ‘or's' on the depth chart?

"The depth chart is not a painstaking thing that I go fill out. That's, [director of public relations] Bob Lange fills out the depth chart. So I wouldn't read, nothing against Bob, it's not. Understand I wouldn't read too much into it. It's not a painstaking process to fill out the depth chart."

UPDATE: Depth chart will be released Monday, when Utah releases theirs:

Harbaugh says Utah will be sending official depth chart Monday, we will send our official depth chart on Monday

He should just release one that says...

QB:

1. Jake Rudock or Shane Morris or Alex Malzone or Zach Gentry or Wilton Speight

2. Jim Harbaugh

And do that for every position.

As much as we might hate it collectively I think this is fantastic.  Nothing to gain by letting Utah know who is playing and everything to lose.

We'll find out the same time the Ute's find out.

how different is it for the defense to prep for a righty vs. lefty?  Obviously their skillsets are diferent (cannon vs. completion) but does the added challenege of which they roll out, etc make a huge game planning difference that can be used to our advantage?

of value-added activities over anything that's just for appearance (e.g. pants selection).

The depth chart doesn't contribute to wins/losses.  Harbaugh spends his time on stuff that does.

Let someone else handle appearances.

I will never forget before that game in some Connecticut paper there was a question posed to a beat writer by a fan that asked if he thought uconn would run up the score on Michigan or if they would keep it classy. Infuriated me at the time but the beatdown that followed made it hilarious in retrospect. That was one of my favorite openers as well.

Jim Harbaugh's attitude towards things he's "required" to do reminds me of the Chappelle Show "Black Bush" skit and his indiference toward the UN (at 2m 55s):

can hear the little press types bitching and moaning now.  "Just release a depth chart. Just do it. It's the bare minimal expectation. Talk to the press, release a depth chart."  Fuck em. Fuck em all

Do some people honestly think that showing your hand is a good thing? Perhaps Harbaugh should send all of our opponents in-depth practice footage as the season progresses. Countdown to Kick-off, public scrimmages/practices, depth charts, etc. (while enjoyable) are not necessarily strategic moves.
