No Harbaugh at the Football Bust
I know I saw a couple of posts about James showing up at the annual football bust since his 1985 team is being honored but apparently thats not the case.

Either this means there are conversations going on with DB or the rumor mill has gotten so out of control he can't come and enjoy it without being bombarded with questions about the Michigan job.

or James has a team to get ready for a bowl.
That said, your thoughts may be right and it would just be too weird. Like inviting your exgirlfriend to your wedding.

No one on the team likes him.

Something tells me a few of the guys who elected him Team Captain of the '86 Wolverines will be there.

... because it's an awful waste of an 80K bathroom, if he's just doing it in his pants.

Oops did someone make a poopy?

Little good could come from this and both sides know it.
If Harbaugh were to be there it would be an enormous distraction from what the Bust is all about - honoring the Seniors.
What a travesty that would be.

How many times can we talk about the same thing? I appreciate the confirmation but throw it in one of the other threads. Sorry to be harsh - the re-hashing of topics is starting to grate on me . . .
[EDIT: I am standing on a ledge ready to jump after Brian's most recent post so please excuse my negative attitude in this post.]

But to be fair, there were no threads titled specifically around this, just comments on threads. It's a forgiveable mistake
November 29th, 2010 at 6:24 PM ^
So should people start threads titled that?

It is also discussed here

It's like the 3rd thing said.

A large jungle cat trying to dry hump us?

I was going for Tiger hug, but whatever floats your boat.
btw, Tigers don't like pepper, they like cinnamon.
November 29th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
Tigers love pepper. They hate cinammon.
November 29th, 2010 at 6:30 PM ^
I heard from a reliable source, it is the exact opposite. A source close to tigers.
November 29th, 2010 at 8:14 PM ^
Agreed.

It's only starting now?

thread on one roving topic.
The answer appears to be that Harbaugh's schedule did not permit it. Which is exactly what I guessed in the last thread on this topic.
Angelique Chengelis at DetNews.com:
Harbaugh has told teammates from the '85 team that his schedule with Stanford will not allow him to make the event at the Laurel Manor in Livonia on Thursday.

It is for the best. Rich has more than earned the right to have this evening with his team without needless discomfort. Good for everybody who made this not happen.
November 29th, 2010 at 5:34 PM ^
Jim Harbaugh "made it not happen" because, quite unsurprisingly, he was too busy.
November 29th, 2010 at 5:38 PM ^
Oh my god??! JH doesn't have time to sit at some liberal self-congratulatory pat yourself on the back convocation?
Dude is Stanford's coach. Dude got's to get to w3rk
November 29th, 2010 at 5:57 PM ^
... liberal? I don't understand.
November 29th, 2010 at 6:26 PM ^
Anything that is self-congratulatory in nature is liberal. Academy awards, graduation ceremonies, etc. It's all feel-good bullshit.
JH is a no-nonsense guy. He has a team to coach. Not that I think he should take RR's job, but the guy is no slouch
November 29th, 2010 at 6:50 PM ^
Yeah lets not celebrate anything! I guess that would be the conservative way, right?
November 29th, 2010 at 6:53 PM ^
haha what
November 29th, 2010 at 6:25 PM ^
Jim Harbaugh took a piss today in his custom bathroom.
Rich Rodriguez brought his suit to the dry cleaner today for the banquet. Rich's wife, Rita, will pick it up tomorrow.
November 29th, 2010 at 6:27 PM ^
Do you have a "very, very reliable source" like all these other idiots?
November 29th, 2010 at 8:30 PM ^
It's almost as if he has a football team to coach...
