No bowl
The only positive to Michigan not being in a bowl game is that I'm not freaking out right now. I've got some Penn State friends here that are going insane watching Daryll Clark flail around in the rain--and I'm strangely happy to not being doing the same.
Never thought I'd think that. Sometimes I feel like the last couple years have shown us how spoiled we were as Michigan fans for my entire lifetime. Then I watch them play and I start drinking.

I'd kill for the anxiety today.

I want to start the New Year not depressed.

How sparty of you.
I would much rather be freaking out right now.

That owns. I will add that the the vocabulary for future use...

Well next year you wont have to worry about freaking out on new years day because the NC is after that

Why is it positive not to have the anxiety when other teams are scrapping for a W in a bowl game

If you offered him A) $100 bucks for sure or B)$1,000 or $10,000 dependent on the outcome of a coin flip, he'd be happier with the $100 bucks for sure.

This is your father-in-law and stay away from my daughter and i would take the flip and I have no idea why my comment would even relate to your comment

But since you've identified yourself as my father-in-law, I thought you'd like to know that I've been watching the games while in the doggie-style position ;)

What if your father-in-law was actually reading this

Uhm, nevermind...I don't want to know...
January 1st, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
Well, the weather has been bad at all these bowl sites, so it would've been a lousy bowl trip, and soaked day...
...yeah, I'm reaching...

But I can understand the sentiment. I realized that if it's not the Rose Bowl or another BCS game, the post game reaction dies down in a day and I get over the games pretty quickly. Seems like a low price to pay for some in-game freaking out.

leading up to the game is a part of what's great about being a sports fan.
I find no positives in not being in a bowl game.

I can only concur and say to you sir, +1

is a side effect of the glorious ecstasy of several wins during the season. while i am a nervous wreck before games, after losses i am just an a-hole. so more nervous, less a-hole seems better.

Anxiety leading up to a bowl game? To me bowl games have been relaxed, especially following the peak of the year against the Ohio Development School.

So do you have anxiety now at the prospect that we might go better than 5-7 next year?
These bowl games are irritating me more than anything. Lane Kiffin took his sorry ass Tennessee team to a bowl in his first season.
I have read numerous times of the ineptitude of the Minnesota and Wisconsin HC's but here they are in bowl games, while we thank our lucky stars that we missed out? I don't get it.
