No bowl

Submitted by Zone Left on
The only positive to Michigan not being in a bowl game is that I'm not freaking out right now. I've got some Penn State friends here that are going insane watching Daryll Clark flail around in the rain--and I'm strangely happy to not being doing the same. Never thought I'd think that. Sometimes I feel like the last couple years have shown us how spoiled we were as Michigan fans for my entire lifetime. Then I watch them play and I start drinking.

Well, the weather has been bad at all these bowl sites, so it would've been a lousy bowl trip, and soaked day... ...yeah, I'm reaching...

But I can understand the sentiment. I realized that if it's not the Rose Bowl or another BCS game, the post game reaction dies down in a day and I get over the games pretty quickly. Seems like a low price to pay for some in-game freaking out.

is a side effect of the glorious ecstasy of several wins during the season. while i am a nervous wreck before games, after losses i am just an a-hole. so more nervous, less a-hole seems better.

Anxiety leading up to a bowl game? To me bowl games have been relaxed, especially following the peak of the year against the Ohio Development School.

So do you have anxiety now at the prospect that we might go better than 5-7 next year? These bowl games are irritating me more than anything. Lane Kiffin took his sorry ass Tennessee team to a bowl in his first season. I have read numerous times of the ineptitude of the Minnesota and Wisconsin HC's but here they are in bowl games, while we thank our lucky stars that we missed out? I don't get it.
