I'm detecting a disctinct lack of Hackett hate.  If DB were still around 90% of the comments above would at least have a deraogatory mention, and 50% would blame him for all.

Lots of hate for the uniforms, yet here no one has mentioned the current AD.  He's certainly been around long enough to have put a hand in this - to the extent that posters believed Brandon controlled uniforms, they must logically believe Hackett does as well.

The explanation of the lack of Hackett Hate is quite simple:

Hackett has not spent the majority of his tenure botching coaching searches, gouging fans by raising prices on virtually anything that moves in an atheltic facility, creating PR blunders every two seconds, sending condescending emails to fans and alums, firing long-time dedicated staff, and generally pissing off everyone left, right, and center.

I can't see how these two got through quality control...the wide stripe at the midsection is just atrocious to say the least. Michigan has one of the better ones for sure, but still aren't all that great. Someone needs to go back to graphic design 101

The design itself isn't that bad. I mean, it's traditional, and semi-old timey looking. There's no random piping. No goofy shapes or side panels or sublimated patterns. Just stripes. The problem (and Nike does this too) is the stock template for everyone. Instead of playing for Michigan or Louisville or UCLA, it looks like everyone is playing for adidas. Which sucks.

The tops are fine, in my opinion, but the shorts kill it for me. For some reason, I can get into that two-tone on shorts with our particular color scheme. It kind of reminds me of a toned-down but still awkward version of the broad stripes of a 1980s Astros jersey, but considerably less garish, to be fair to these.
