Nike or Adidas

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Which would you choose and why?

I would go with Nike soley because of their version of Maize.

Am curious if there's anyone on here who wants adidas.

This is ludicrous. Do we need one of these every day?

Next person who is thinking of posting this topic, here are some suggestions for alternatives:

Queen Elizabeth or queen Victoria...who was hotter?

Would you rather be mailed by a bear or gored by a bull, and why?

Should mountain height include only height above sea level?

If you could punch one individual in the face and be guaranteed of no repercussions, who would it be?

It's really about one thing to me

If an executive isn't forced to make an ass out of himself then a major opportunity has been missed.

There are pros and cons for each but I would be happy with the prestige that commands the richest apparal contract in the country. Arguing otherwise, about how one is trash or would affect whether or not you would purchase gear or be more or less of a fan, just seems a bit 'Murica' to me.

The AD has more than enough money.  Why not find an alum in the industry and help them launch a brand (or expand their existing brand), similar to what UA did with Maryland?

The AD and University take a small percentage of the equity and then we have something.

But I still have shirts from Nike's last four years and they are the same color as what adidas has sold in recent years.  The point being, if Nike had kept the contract we would, in all like

Though it should be noted that the adidas shirts rarely last more than a year or so, which is reason enough to drop adidas.  My experience has been quite disappointing.  But then again, I am not a collegiate athlete using this gear either.

This horse has already been beaten to death. I hope they make an announcement so we can move on to other topics!

At the end of day, I believe it will in part come down to the economics of the deal in the table. My preference is Nike assuming all things are equal. But I understand the business behind selecting the outfitter.

My wife was an student athlete at Nebraska and during the Nike years I could get her to wear exclusively Michigan clothing because "Nike makes cute womens" stuff. Since Adidas she hasn't liked anything and it's the same crap Nebraska gets so she's reverted to wearing Husker gear... so yes, Nike please.

Did you guys know that Ryan M. who got kicked off of the Bachelorette last night is Nikki's ex (from Juan Pablo's season)?

Unbelievable.
