at least it's not just us?
Georgia and LSU showed today that their defenses are vulnerable. OSU is at least as good as those two.
Their feeble schedule makes me question how good Ohio really is. Considering that a mediocre Wisconsin team is their toughest opponent to date I would say that we don' t know how good Ohio really is. Will games at NU and UM tell us anything? Michigan has issues and NU is a well-coached, but undermanned team.
I don't need to use their strength of schedule to see that their offense is dynamic and can hurt you 6 different ways on any play. Their DL is active, LB instinctive, and DBs aggressive.
I f'n hate Ohio, but you can't deny they are a well coached team that is dangerous.
On a neutral field I would probably take most of the other teams in the top 10 over OSU. They have blasted the nobodies that they have played, but in the first game that they played against a decent team, they could easily have lost. They got some good bounces tonight, and Wisconsin shot themselves repeatedly in the foot (dropped INT at the end of the 2nd; missed short FG, etc.).
That easy INT that was dropped at the end of the half was a killer. That and letting a receiver get behind you when you know they all but have to go to the endzone.
I know the transitive property doesn't always apply, but Cal looked a hell of a lot better when they played Ohio a couple weeks ago.
I don't know why so many crapped their pants watching Ohio tonight. Wiscy looks to have several RBs in a stoppable running game, one wide receiver, and a slightly above average QB. And a bunch of bone-headed plays.
A good win for Ohio, sure. A reason to go running to the hills pissing all over oneself? No.
when we face them in the big house! It will make a victory that much sweeter having them ranked number 2 in the country!
Wisky has a legit running game, more than legit. OSU had to load the box all night, allowing their receivers (J. Abracadabra) to get one on one matchups. We do not possess even 1/10 of wisky run game. Therefore they will not load the box, and there will not be receivers with one on one matchups. This is all assuming things dont take a drastic U turn before OSU.
cannot. His mobility alone will give Ohio fits. Ohio still has to account for a run game in terms of DG's legs and Toussaint. Michigan's run game certainly isn't good, but UM presents a multitude of problems that Wisconsin does not.
UM scored 41 on a team with a better DL in ND. I think they can do as well versus a team with a weak secondary in Ohio.
It all depends on Devin Gardner. He's a streaky shooter..He could get hot from three and pull the upset.
Love the analogy but i don't see it being an upset. Michigan at home can't be worse than a pick'em right now.
It remains to be seen that Gardner can scramble efficiently and consistently. In the last few games, whenever Devin tried to escape the pocket or bounce outside, he was dropped. If we want to beat OSU, we need to run quick developing plays. Short passes and inside handoffs are gonna be a lot more effective than play action passes and delayed handoffs. Our o-line just cannot maintain their blocks long enough to run long developing plays
Man I really hope we can run for more than 35 yards in a game at some point this season. Things are looking grim.
OSU has a tough test at NWU under the lights next week. At some point, they've got to have some bounces not go their way while the other team actually plays well. Anyway, I wouldn't mind OSU being undefeated heading into Nov 30th.
I really want them to come to A2 undefeated. I think they're beatable, and we've got an excellent shot to beat them at home
Two words: Gray Goose
see the Oregon highlights and wonder why we don't try throwing swing passed to Gallon/Dileo and just have Chesson and Funchess cut block the opposing DB's? Seems so simple and effective.
Yes, but the answer is quite complicated.
Stanford is good.
is the model that Michigan is after, well then I will be patient. That is truly MANBALL.
I heard SC considered one of the top defenses.
Uh, they must have left the game plan in Lane's Miata
Hell yea, Sun Devils.
There was just a graphic in the Boise State - Southern Miss game showing that Southern Miss was tied for the second most turnovers in the country this season. Sadly, Michigan was next on the list. Ouch.
Devils lighting up the Trojans
better start getting his resume updated and have his agent start putting out feelers for jobs next year.
Not quite sure why I have this Stanford-WSU game on but there is an epic popcorn eating fan just laying out in the pooring rain munching happily. Please for the love of everything let this be a .gif.
was hilarious. Joe Tessitore was losing it, he couldn't even do his job he was laughing so hard, off the mic of course.
My Devils are running the Trojans out of Tempe!
Is Oregon going to score 100?
Rankings don't really mean much at this point. Thus far we have not looked like we belong very high in the rankings, but if our young players continue to develop and we keep winning, then the rankings will sort themselves out.
*SU really taking it to USC 48-21 start of 4th Q
too bad leon mcquay III has to play for Laney boy. he'll be fired by the end of this year.
SC looks like they just Lee for a long time (knee injury). They're going to be in trouble. ND, Stanford, UCLA will be losses
Lee's knee is fucked. Hope for a speedy recovery Marqise.
I'm enjoying this beatdown by the Sun Devils way too much. I don't like to see any players get injured, but I love seeing cocky Kiffin and cocky USC players getting spanked on the scoreboard.
