I root for anyone playing Moo U.  Sorry, but I cannot keep it "in conference" where integrity challenged douchebags like Dantonio is concenred.

8 in the box, daring MSU to pass.  Maxwell cannot pull it off.  Going to be a long night if they cannot do something through the air.

Bell is MSU's entire offense, both running AND receiving.  The only passes Sparty can complete are horizontal, i.e., glorified running plays.  Every time Maxwell drops back, ND is all over him.

Unfortunately, I think that MSU is going to be run the ball against us better than they're running against ND.  Mattison is going to have to come up with some magic to get MSU to go away from Bell, which is their obvious weakness.  Then, when they do, Mattison is again going to have to blitz the crap out of Maxwell as he doesn't seem to pass well when he's pressured.  I think we're going to have to take a lot of chances on defense, hope they hit, and that the offense is efficient.

If nothing else, MSU can provide just enough protection and drive itself to the outer edges of FG range when faced with a defense that can bring pressure. The Spartan offensive line is very much responsible for Maxwell's -18 rushing yards.

I think ND's DL is actually pretty good.  A point I hope Borges sees and takes very seriously.  I really don't think we're going to be able to line up and run the ball against them, at least based upon what we've seen from our run blocking thus far.  I think we're going to have to come out passing, and passing, and passing.  Then, getting the run going.  I think the same thing goes for the MSU game.

I don't see any reason why we can't kill them through the air like last year but in an even more efficient and devastating manner. With nd's secondary issues and the big dog's(Devin and Devin) on our side we should just chuck chuck and chuck it all day.

I agree.  I hope that DC's are getting a bit more nervous about going up against the "new-and-improved" passing Denard with his new Double Headed Devin toy -- they're BOTH a mismatch.  Also, we saw Denard tuck-and-run today twice, and one went for a sick, nasty, amazing TD.  I hope ND's DC watches that and craps his pants.  Let them stack the box and come after him.

The big advantage right now for ND is their receivers. They've bailed out Golson a few times, while MSU's receivers haven't done a struggling Maxwell any favors.
