For BCS sakes, I think ? we're pulling for clemson
I doubt the ND-Stanford game matters for our ranking, since stanford is unlikely to drop 10 spots with a loss, but should be a good one nonetheless
and so I'm rooting for the Tree to fall tonight. By itself, it won't do it for us, but there still are a lot of combinations left.
With VT winning 38-0 today, I think we need to hit the daily double w/ Clemson winning tonight, but losing next week to VT to pick up the one spot there.
Wisconsin might pass us with a win over PSU and MSU, so I'm thinking we need two teams to fall.
edit: nvm MSU would fall below us
An ND win helps our strength of schedule, so I'm going to root for the Irish tonight. Every little bit helps. A Clemson win would be great for us.
Good thing Meyer didn't recruit Robinson as a QB. Now Florida has a QB who throws a lot of interceptions but can't run.
I hate to be that guy, but does anyone have live stream links to any of these games? Thanks
Thank you. Funny it's easier to find clemson than nd.
Stanford looks like Ohio State ready for combat something or other...
Yeah, WTF? Any explanation, other than Nike striking again. I like Standfaord's normal gear, why mess with it?
/you kids get off my lawn!
And what is up with the ND helmets. they look like someone spray painted them with cheap gold paint.
They look like the shit sandwich uga wore against Boise. I hate nonstandard uniforms.
Clemson is getting destroyed early. 10-0 near the end of the first.
10 -7 w/ 11:30 in the 2nd
How in the hell was that not a hold on South Carolina?
Someone has to post this, but I don't understand computers very well. My friend sent this to me and my wife and I have been laughing for hours. "When Punters Go: Oops!"
It is just lost in the wash with all the post's this evening. It is funny though.
Why is Stanford wearing Arizona's home unis?
Surely, the Pac-12 is prestigious enough that bartering is not necessary. Wonder what they got for them....
Also, TD Clemson on a short but efficient drive.
You'd think they'd use an old set of their own uniforms. Maybe someone washed the whole batch with a red sweater.
....is an excellent question. Even this Cal alumnus recognizes that the regular Stanfurd uniforms are better than that...
Maybe I have just missed this all season, but what is up with ND helmets. They are such a strong gold color.
they were introduced mid-season (I think against USC or something)
Double post fail
I kind of like it better. I mean, I as always wondering why their helmets were so dull--when I think gold I think shiny, not a sort of deep mustard yellow/brown.
They now match the golden dome on campus
....is trying really hard not to have a drive here. Holding, block in the back, you name it, it's been called. Thanks to all that, they punt.
Pretty sure Kelly just said "bullshit ..... Do your job" to the ref
Most punts look like a golfers nine iron. South Carolina's looked like he was putting.
....we can't even kick a field goal without a penalty in SC-Clemson.
Pulling for Clemson is awful. I've never really cared about a Clemson outcome and I'm already sick thinking about the Clemsoning coming up.
...but terrific Apple Cup game right now on Versus. Tied at 14 with a minute left in the first half. There's a type of superlative hatred/disrespect/disdain betweeen Wazzu and Udub that folks on this board should be able to relate to.
Just got to say, how great is it watching games around the league late in the season and cheering based on BCS implications for Michigan again? Feels effing awesome, even if it means holding my nose and cheering for ND. :)
Rees is doing some braxton miller-esque clock management. surprised he didn't spike it there.
TV - pretty sure he screamed at Rees to "shut up" there. Not quite purple face but pretty livid.
Kelly is at again. I hope Darboh is watching
There should be a thread dedicated to the hilariously pained expressions Kelly makes on the sideline whenever ND fails to execute.
Do the people who think Luck is having a better season than RG3 actually watch the games?
That he'll be a higher draft pick I can easily understand. That he'll outpoll Griffin in a vote on the best player of this season makes no sense.
I like Barkley and Griffin better than Luck. He's good, but Griffin is a fantastic talent and Barkley is having an excellent year.
Fox Sports Detroit +. My Oilers taking a beating right now
Am I a bad person for lurking at IrishEnvy.com to read the ND fans flipping out when things don't go their way? Good lord are there some emotionally unstable people there, makes our liveblogs seem like we're on sedatives
Would make me a terrible person too. They think they are losing all of their top recruits after this.
No, Irish tears are almost as good as Buckeye tears
They've been lighting the torches and sharpening the pitchforks for Rees (even though the O line is leaking like a sieve). We'll see how long befor they turn on Crist, last couple throws from him haven't looked too good either
FSU 21, UF 0. Remember when the big 3 FLA schools were going to dominate the world for the rest of time?
.....the meteor didn't hit Earth as expected and those 20 minutes passed uneventfully.
Does Stanford have really bad WRs? They seem to never get open. I know ND DBs aren't that good.
The Pac-12 Championship matchup. Yawner or interesting game? Discuss.
I'll go the "yawner" route on this one.
After Kelly was caught blowing up on his QB (again), Herbie says, "he makes me nervous", followed by nervous laughter.
That cannot be good for recruiting.
You just have to want to go to a school where coaches have historically been, say, too moist, too rotund, too unstable.....
If you can deal with that, Notre Dame is just fine.
UCLA is incredibly bad, like mind-blowingly bad.
...they are only meh. But what's up with USC throwing play action downfield up by 43? I'm not sure that the normal impress the voters stands works when you are prohibited from post-season play.
Also because we can, and UCLA will never, ever be able to do the same to us."
Because they couldn't go for three?
...but they're also the best team Houston's played all year.
