Night Games Open Thread
After a very underwhelming day of college football, we have finally reached night: when nearly all matchups worth watching are occuring.
Penn St. at Northwestern - BTN at 7 (NW wearing crazy ugly unis)
Tennessee at Bama - ESPN2 at 7:15
USC at ND - NDBC at 7:30
Wisconsin at Sparty - ESPN at 8
Washington at Stanford - ESPN3/ABC at 8
Texas Tech at Oklahoma - ABC/ESPN3 at 8
The remaining listings can be found here: enjoy the night games.

I don't agree with that reasoning. The more good rivals we have, the harder it is for us to be a national title contender. I'm perfectly fine with our rivals being mediocre.

What's the point of having rivals if they suck?
October 22nd, 2011 at 10:59 PM ^
But I definitely would not enjoy the fact that he would leave State with a winning record against us.
October 22nd, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
I wouldn't write off Wisconsin tonight just yet.

RUSSELL WILSON BEAST MODE RIGHT ON CUE.
October 22nd, 2011 at 10:54 PM ^
It is imperative that everyone avoid talk radio/97.1/Mike Valenti this week if the Badgers don't pull off the comeback.
I just threw up a little bit in my mouth imagining the dialogue.
October 22nd, 2011 at 10:59 PM ^
I dont even bother with that station during football season...funny part is that even with their success he needs to talk Michigan just to get people to even listen and call in to the show. that is all you need to know about the fanbase of Sparty in this state, no one cares even when they have out of this world success.

Wilson back from the dead!

A football player putting a MSU cheerleader on her back - so early in the evening, too.
October 22nd, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
Alright Sparty time for a three and out special with 3 throws and 30 seconds off the clock just like that last "drive."

FFFUUU PICK THAT SHIT.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:05 PM ^
No, MSU, I didn't want YOU to pick that shit.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
going away. . . I hope.
Edit: Well, heck.
Edit: Well, hey! Great clock mgmt, Sparty!

October 22nd, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
No idea why Sparty is throwing so much. But thank you.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
The fuck was that, Russell?
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
It unfortunately looked familiar though.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
WTF Wilson!
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
That was a TP arm punt special.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
I'm going to completely ignore that it also reminds me of someone else's arm punts who is nearer and dearer to my heart...
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
clocktime.

MSU power running is very predictable and ineffective. Line up with TE out wide. Pull in motion and stop behind line. Run behind TE. Three yards

three thoughts:
1. Nice punt on first down Wilson. 2. Brian Kelly is actively teaching how to turn the ball over. 3. If my wife looks as good as Alex Flanagan when she's 40 I will die a happy man

shades of 4th and 1.....*shudder
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
what could have been. One stupid play changed the game....sigh
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
Clutch offense for Sparty. 3 3 and outs in a row now.

October 22nd, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
And the defense responds beautifully. If the O and Special Teams doesn't screw up so much, this game wouldn't be so close
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
It'll take a comeback to ever hear "Wilson" and "Heisman" in the same sentence again.

And boy, Stanford must BR having fun watching the tv tonight.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:12 PM ^
Why does my mobile think "be" should be "BR"?
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:08 PM ^
Surprisingly, this is a pretty entertaining game.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:08 PM ^
These next 4 minutes are really going to show Wilson's Heisman chances (I have no idea how to word that). Or they could just run for 15 yards on every play...

Does anyone know if a rabbit makes a good pet?
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:14 PM ^
Rabbits make good pets because they are gentle.
This post is brought to you in part by Aristotle.
In other news, Wisconsin is about to make this a very interesting game.

What's the record for most comments on a thread on here?
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:12 PM ^
1200 or something for a Michigan hockey game.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:13 PM ^
I believe it was the open thread for the hockey regional final - close to 1,000 posts.
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:14 PM ^
Who knows but I think several of us have inflated our points totals by about 100 or so
October 22nd, 2011 at 11:14 PM ^
1274 posts. M hockey vs. Miami.
