Night Games Open Thread

Submitted by jcgold on

After a very underwhelming day of college football, we have finally reached night:  when nearly all matchups worth watching are occuring.

Penn St. at Northwestern - BTN at 7 (NW wearing crazy ugly unis)

Tennessee at Bama - ESPN2 at 7:15

USC at ND - NDBC at 7:30

Wisconsin at Sparty - ESPN at 8

Washington at Stanford - ESPN3/ABC at 8

Texas Tech at Oklahoma - ABC/ESPN3 at 8

The remaining listings can be found here:  enjoy the night games.

For those worrying about the division championship chances for UM, let's not forget we are talking about MSU here.  They will give away at least a game this year - maybe next week @ NU.  Then who knows.  What UM needs to do is keep winning.

That said, great game by MSU.  I think the 0 penalties thing is a little depressing - they can't control themselves against UM but somehow play above reproach against Wiscy?  Still, I take some glee in seeing Bielema, a douche of the highest order, cost himself a perfect season with horrible clock management.

a) "pretty sure it crossed" is not indisputable

b) why would you call the 3rd TO

c) on the 3rd and 8 there was such obvious illegal procedure, I don't get it.

d) if I were a Badger fan I would be really looking forward to the rematch.  If the break go 8-1 in favor of Spartie, that's a win for Wiscy

Anyone notice that espn3 is a few seconds ahead of espn2's coverage? Maybe there's no boob delay on the internet.

This hurts but we're not out of it yet. Though this hurts a lot. We need Iowa, Northwestern, and/or Nebraska to play their butts off against MSU. Got to tip the hat but wow.

That if we win out the rest of the year we won't win our division because of one stupid game and one bad 4th down call... This season is basically over now unless they lose to neb and iowa... Yea won't hold my breath!!!! Thanks a lot Bret you arrogant FUCK

You know if OU loses tonight, and MSU somehow wins out then they could find themselves in a BCS spot regardless of if they win the BTCG or not

Also Texas Tech just threw a Double pass. We need to bring that back

Big 12 will get one.  The SEC gets one.  Boise State gets one, leaving one left.  Notre Dame is out, and the Big East is out.  So, it'll be the Big 10, Pac-12 and ACC fighting for one spot.  11-2 would definitely be competitive, but I prefer to "worry" about that later.

Why is TT running hurry up all 2nd half. The first drive in the 4th couldve taken 7 minutes off the clock but they keep snapping ball with 20+ on the clock.

OU and Wisconsin losing, who does everyone think will play in the National Championship this year (as eitehr LSU of Alabama will lose once this year)?

Oklahoma State? Clemson? Stanford? Dare I say, Boise St.?

The College Football landscape just got a little more interesting.
