I'm watching the ND game because my coworker is going to talk shit Monday so I'm hoping for a cardinal win

We didn't lose because of injuries...we struggled because of injuries and lost because Durkin refused to go to a 4-3 and get out of the bullshit 3-3-5.

Charlton, Hurst, Henry, Wormley

Ross, Morgan, Bolden

Lewis, Stribling

Wilson, Peppers

...what would've been so wrong about trying that in a 4-3 for a few series? It's not that radical of a solution.

But you take Hill out and put Charlton on with Ross....sounds reasonable when you're giving up 400 yards on the ground...right?

How any one could watch / experience the Indiana-M game, the Sparty - OSU game, and the entire fucking history of Rich Rod and conclude that the 3-3-5 was the way to go in terms of what OSU is and what we do poorly is beyond incomprehensible.

Sure, hard to argue that scheme covers/explains a 29 pt blowout, but talk about a bullshit approach.  Insane.

I have no idea how I've said anything worth the lengthy response but I'll roll with it. I said I think he's really good, I just think he's set some winnable games on fire by running straight into the line on short yardage multiple times in a row, like the Notre Dame game a few years ago or the USC game last year. Other than that he's been everything Stanford could want.

...that's not terrible. There are a TON of @ or #'s in there. He's not just shitting the bed with better talent. Stanford doesn't recruit extremely well.

I'm not saying he's Harbaugh or Saban or Meyer and he's GREAT. I'm just saying he's not ass like many on this board claim. 14 losses in a 5 year stretch is not horrible. It's solid and that's my point..he's a solid coach. But how many coaches can you name that are CLEARLY better? 3? 5? That's not very many.

Dabo...he's had 11 over the same time period. Brian Kelly has lost 16 games. Les Miles 15 losses.

Man, just depressing to see how Stanford can run the ball. Also, doesn't it seem like Hogan has been there for like 7 years?

First, the turf at The Swamp already sort of looks like a fairway after I've had a crack at it.

Second, I would not be too shocked if this one remained scoreless for a while longer - both defenses apparently came a bit fired up for this one.

...and 4th and 10 after the incompletion. Fisher looks upset that Maguire didn't go through his checkdowns completely, or he couldn't believe that nobody else knew about the fruit flies in the Gatorade. Either way.

There's not much a bison burger, pile of brown rice and quinoa, spinach-kale mix, leftover sweet potatoes and two glasses of Sonoma County Merlot can't cure. Go Trees!

Did today suck? Yes. But we are way ahead of where any of us expected. Appreciate the direction we are heading and enjoy some football. Too much negativity on the blog tonight.

Oklahoma is dominating. Barring a collapse could the committee possibly drop them like they did TCU last year? They ended the season beating three ranked teams.

Also, play defense Stanford. Jesus.
