Gurley is still the best player in the country, my Lord. Comes back with a kickoff return and a holding call brings it back.

The kid is a beast though.

Lost in Gordon's magnificent performance was Tevin Coleman going off for 300 yards.  The year of the running back.

Northwestern ties ND with 19 seconds to go!!! yes

I don't know if I've ever seen so many coaching blunders in one day.  From the Kill FG decision to Kelly's 2 pt. conversion to Mullen running the ball in the last minute to Petersen's epic meltdown to the Beamer fake punt on 4th and 18...what the hell is going on?

Sucks for Georgia...they basically score 3 times on the same drive to tie it and still come up empty.

  1. Kickoff return for TD called back for holding.
  2. Long pass right in the bread basket...dropped.
  3. Fake punt caught and taken down to the 2...called back illegal man down field when the man wasn't down field (and the in studio ref agreed).

Should be 7-7.

...but it still was way too conservative. Credit the FG kicker.

In that situation I understand not taking shots down field, but throw a screen...give the QB run/pass options. Spread out the defense and run a draw.

That's a tough FG to make and if you miss, it's very deflating for the entire team.
