Night Games Open Thread

Lots of games. Plus a chance to talk about something else other than the Michigan game. Miss St. looked to be holding tight up 3-0, but is now down 10-3 and Florida with a 3rd and goal. Iowa and Sparty 3-3 at half. Anyone watching South Carolina Vanderbilt? Me neither.

Watching the Iowa-State game is like spooning your eyeballs out of your head. Good to see Texas up two scores right now, we need a big win by them and a mediocre to good win from Florida and I think we'll see UT take over UF in the polls (Possibly Bama too?)

I hate to admit it, but MSU's defense looks legit right now. Sure, it isn't great, but it can get off the field pretty quickly and doesn't shoot itself in the foot. I still think Iowa will win, but MSU is playing pretty well right now.

Cousins is getting killed by the Iowa front four. You definitely get a sense that Iowa is starting to wear down MSU - outside of a few long pass plays, They have not done much on offense all game.

I'm pulling for Sparty over Iowa. I can't stand Iowa. Normally I'd root for them over MSU, but I wanna see this dream seasons of theirs end already. Sorry if that offends any Hawk fans ...

I was hoping for Iowa to lose to MSU and OSU. That's put them at two losses, and likely open the door for PSU to take the BCS birth. Even if Iowa loses one, they'd still go to the Rose Bowl. And that's absolutely unacceptable to me - probably in large part because I know more Iowa fans than MSU fans

I hear ya. I guess nobody wins in this game, then. I still want MSU to lose - you may not have many MSU fans around, but they are perhaps the most insufferable fans north of Clemson considering just how mediocre their team has been compared to how they talk about it.

Two goalline stands from 1 yard out. This is crazy. Let's see if MSU keep Iowa out. EDIT: Wow, just horrible play calling on the goalline by both teams. Nice D by MSU, but these offenses are insanely predictable.

Why the hell would you roll out and then throw it to an un-open guy in the flat, just so he could get ass-blasted. If Iowa had a legit QB, they would be a really nice team.

That was a bad call on MSU there for that hit. There was helmet-to-helmet, but it clearly was not an intentional head-hunting. I know that's the rule, but you hope that doesn't decide a game.

Gosh Damn it. Why would any of you want MSU to win? Are you that dumb? Do any of you remember what a Spartan fan looks/acts like? God if Iowa screws this up (Like they prob will) I will NEVER hear the end of this!!

is that I started to come around on not hating MSU just this week. It's hard for me beacause Dantonio is from my hometown, but if they pull this off, the merest idea of tolerating them goes right out the window.

I was about to say "Where was this offense all game?" and then they throw an interception. Wait, penalty on the defense! Iowa ball on the 10 or so.

Some of the worst play calling possible in the red zone by Iowa all game. I have no idea where this offense came from, but I hope they bury it tonight. This is painful.
