Night Game Thread, per popular demand

This should be good for some laughs, except, I think we will see good football here.

Why do they get their own thread on THIS message board. It should be part of the night game open thread. Hell, it won't even be the primary game I am watching

I agree with this thinking, and hope it is so. Sparty has become infinitely more irritating to me than OSU over the past five years or so. I want them to have no hope of making the playoffs.

I hate Ohio State very much indeed, but Sparty is just plain annoying. Fuck them.

Living in Lansing doesn't help my bitterness towards them, I have been laughing at them all night. This year has been the worst all of years for me as a Michigan fan and all my Sparty friends dogging Michigan non stop, it started with the App St game and hasn't let up yet

So here is a question: Do you take the intentional safety here if you are A&M? A punt here sets up Auburn in positive territory easily. You have next to no chance in OT. Is it worth being able to kick deep knowing any points beat you or would you rather give Auburn a short field knowing a field goal only ties the game?

Totally forgot about the TCU game.  I was all about the LSU Bama game.  The B1G tilt has just slipped to third in my rotation.

My take on the numbfest in East Lansing?

I will relish the loss inflicted upon the loser and begrudge the win backed into by the 'winner'.

SEC might want to give A&M and Missouri back.  A&M knocks Auburn out and likely takes away a second bid for the SEC to the playoff.  Missouri embarasses the league against Indiana and proceeds to likely win the SEC East.  And Missouri could still win the league and have them shut out of the playoff.

You have to root for OSU tonight, especially with Auburn losing. OSUs loss to VT probably disqualifies them from the playoff, but MSU could go if they run the table. That is not something any of us want to see.

I wouldn't root for OSU if they were playing Iraq. I could stomach MSU getting into the playoffs because there is still a chance the SEC could get shut out. If a B1G team gets in and an SEC team gets shut out that will be a huge perception swing. As much as I hate both teams the B1G needs it. But I hate OSU more than I could ever hate Sparty. 7 losses in a row and 9 of 10 will do that.

The SEC West is becoming like the Big XII and PAC12 for me. Teams that should be top 4 teams lose to good teams on fluke results and then the team that won goes on to lose another game by fluke, resulting in no actual great teams. TCU and Ole Miss win their games against Baylor and Auburn 99 out of 100 times when put in those situations. Instead we get a clusterfuck that lets MSU waltz into the top 4. Oregon and Stanford do this shit every year too.
