Nice Yahoo piece on Trey Burke

Great fluff article from Yahoo about Trey's family, recruitment, and how he surprised everyone when he arrived on campus. I had no idea Trey almost went to Cinci. Also, his real name is Alfonso.

Crazy to think if we had not underperformed in the tourney last year he may be back. I guess I'll take the disappointment of the tourney last year for the opportunity it created for this year!

"Burke basically had to tell Jordan himself, when in the first few weeks of practice, he informed the assistant, "I just win, Coach." Jordan playfully razzed him. "No, Coach," Burke said flatly. "I just win."
One thing that is interesting is that the conflict they describe - the competitiveness and the contemplative side of Trey - is part of what makes what he said here true and his on-court play certainly seems to bear it out. As they mention, he is very good at getting everyone involved, but he clearly can kick into another gear and lead if needed, and that's evidenced by both the points and the assists. Truly, he is one of the most exicting basketball players here in a long time and a large part of that is his drive to excel at every possible moment.
