Nice start for Ryan Mallett
I searched through the board and didn't see anything about Mallett's weekend, feel free to negbomb if I missed it! As a team Arkansas set a record for passing yards in a game, with Mallett throwing 309 of them and a TD. Hope he has a great year, personally.

I hope he as a great year.

I agree, I hope he does well. I don't harbor any ill will to him. He saw the writing on the wall, that he didn't fit the system, and got out early. He probably would have started last year and would have seriously lost playing time as other QB's (Tate and Shoelace) came in. For his long term success, it was best for him to leave and I would have done the same thing. No hard feelings. At least he didn't take any shots at Michigan on the way out.

No matter what the system was. the writing was on the wall that he was going to transfer the moment he stepped foot onto Michigan. Especially after his competition in Mustain transferred.

I can't personally say I'm ever going to be rooting for his success in college football. I don't hold any grudge against him, and I am glad he's gone, but there was just something about him that made my stomach turn a bit. He certainly did have potential to be a real nice pro-style QB.

That's what I want to know!
Also I won't be rooting for his success because frankly I think that he was a blatant D-Bag but hey that's just me.

Not sure why you got negged. From everything I heard he was a bit of a d-bag. Is there a rule that we're supposed to root for everyone that's transferred now too?
I don't hate him or hope that he does poorly, but I also could care less if he plays well.

It's cool

He's not a Michigan Man so I don't care. Night games! Maize jerseys!

Wonder if "Michigan Man" should be virtually banned as a topic of discussion, and even as a word or descriptor. (help: in html how do I bold "Michigan Man" instead of using quotes?)
What is Michigan's history on night games? Seriously, I could see one or two a year in September, but the later in the year, the weather becomes crummy.
On late year night games, I am going to put up a brief OP re the possibility of the convergence of a night game with a snow bowl.
On Maize jerseys, interesting idea. I just don't want to go down the Oregon Duck road. (Maize jerseys have the potential to be really tacky.)

Why would you think Michigan Man be banned? That's like saying Bo Schembechler and his reference to it was of no value.
Strike thyself with 50 wet noodle lashes!
It's not hard to bold. Use Brian's Input format link then go to his additional formatting option, there you will see a reference to paragraph breaks and such. Just replace the letters br in the example shown with the letter b. Look up the info here first before you write or you may loose your text when going back to the comment screen.

He'll do well at Arkansas, and I'm glad. Tebow and Snead needs some competition in the SEC.

The kid has a lot of talent.
I will not root for him. I'm sure he has good qualities as a human being, but I never saw them.

Here's my take:
I don't wish him ill will. I don't hope he does well. I hope that he pulls his head out of his ass and gets the mental part of the game. If he can do that then he'll be a good QB.

"I only care about guys who play for our team!" I do agree though that I don't wish him ill will. I just don't give a darn if he does well either.

While there are plenty of people who report negative personal experiences in dealing with him, Ryan Mallett, to my knowledge anyway, has not publicly gone after RR the way Boren and all the others have. Considering all the allegations that RR "ran him off," Mallett certainly would have had an eager and waiting audience for such bashing, but his most recent comment was that he and RR agreed that he would be better off at another program.
I'm not exactly going to root for him (unless an Arkansas victory somehow is to Michigan's benefit), but I'm not rooting against him at this point, either.

had plenty to say. (I think it was to Rosenbag, as a matter of fact...)
So while it wasn't all roses then, it's not coming out too badly today. (Sadly, those comments, just like the freep smear campaign of the past 10 days, is the more memorable.)
No one has commented that perhaps Mallett was a tad young to be Henne's back-up as a freshman, and with a couple years of seasoning and maturing, he's meeting the expectations of his talent level.

Dammmnn. I forgot all about Mallet.
Goodluck to him
