Nice job to the Rush-D!
My smug Notre Dame pal is already insinuating that Michigan's D is suspect due to UConn being able to move the ball. Well, I've got to point out that holding a 300+ lb O-line, which was blocking for a previous 1200yd back and a USC-transfer fullback, to only 138 yds rushing was a good start to the season.
The Michigan D wiping that smug look off my Irish friend's face next weekend would be even better. Go Blue!

defense: bend not break

ND needs to be quiet about defensive fronts. The D line looked really good today, and though there needs to be more pressure on passing downs, I was quite pleased with how they played, especially early on.

I wasn't thrilled with the 4.6 YPC they gave up, but UConn has a solid rushing attack. Isn't it nice to have to nitpick to find things to complain about? Great overall performance. Bring on the Irish!

Time of Possession also helped

but the Michigan scored early and often which made the UCONN offense go away from the run and pass alot more. So yes the defense played good but the Offense was great.
