"There's a story Jo loves to tell about her son -- because it has nothing to do with football.

When her son was at Auburn, fans would wait just beyond the tunnel at Jordan-Hare Stadium to get autographs. After one game, Gordon and Jo waited for Al amongst the crowd outside of the tunnel.

As they waited, Al saw a kid in a beat-up hat coming up to him seeking his autograph.

"So Alan said, 'You don't want me to put my autograph here on this dirty hat,'" Jo said. "So Alan took his hat right off his head, gave it to the little boy and signed it. He just sat there and he couldn't say anything. His mom said, 'Aren't you going to thank Coach Borges?'

Little bit of it, I thought was pretty dang cool!!

Ya I hear ya profit, thanks. I just get tired of people thinking they are the judge and jury on the internet. I come here to be with fellow Michigan fans, not to argue and fight over something as simple as some font. However your right, just moving on! I could have changed it but Master replied to it!

I think you'll find spots to give as much as you get.  Some use the Board more than others, some take and others give but its supposed to be all in good fun with everyone coming together for a common purpose.  Just make sure you stay away from name-calling etc.  If things get out of hands, the moderators will step in to bring everyone back to center.

I strongly disagree with this article.  The west coast offense has been around for 30 years.  It  pretty much has been played out.  It still exists because it works.  The cutting edge of offensive football is the spread be it running, passing, or something inbetween.

If Bourges is such an innovator how come he displays such a disdain for the shotgun?  Bowden took a struggling Charlie Ward and put hiim in the shotgun.  Jim Tressel took a struggling Troy Smith and put him in the shotgun.  Mack Brown took a struggling Vince Young and put him in the shotgun.

If there is anything we know, a dominant athelete can make a college offense thrive.  Yet I have this fear that Bourges is going to insist that DR do things that Bourges is confortable with.

A true inovator pushes the limit.  A true innovator takes the talent he has and embrasses it.  Yet from the talk I hear from Bourges he wants DR to conform to what he wants.  That is not innovation.

I could be wrong.  This may be another smoke screen like Hoke's manball.  We will find out in four days.  The reality is this genius got fired at Auburn after his all pro backfield graduated.  Yeah, give me two NFL quality backs along with a QB with an NFL arm and I can draw up plays that work also.

granted we will know in a few days, but I think the offence we saw against western was pretty damn basic.  showed a bit of what we did last year, some nice reinterpretations on plays we did last year (the playaction slant to gallon that would of gone the distance if caught for one, was all so familar yet refreshionaly different).

I think we will see denard passing to setup the run though this year which is the opposit of last year, but could prove to be very deadly if it works.

How long has Wolverine Nation been in existence on ESPN? I've been a frequent reader of the Big Ten blog there with Rittenberg and now Bennett for quite some time now, but this is the first I've seen of Wolverine Nation. Definitely a nice addition to the usual internet rounds of reading material.
