Seriously, it's amazing what fucking cowards all "professional journalists" working in sports seem to be. If the Zirbel story had been completely the opposite, with RR tossing him aside after his playing days were done, Snyder, Rosenberg, Carty, and all the other midgets would be screaming in 120-point type about how it proves the idea that RR doesn't care about players. Yet when a story comes along that disproves the notion, not one of them has the guts to say in the article "you know, my colleagues who've been pushing the "no family values" meme are all full of shit, and here's why." This is why I laugh when people wring their hands over the decline of newspapers.

I mean this is a nice article in that it gives RR some positive press. But overall, this article is two paragraphs with a handful of quotes. It is missing humor, facts, etc. That is why MSM sucks because the standards for a newspaper article are so low. Whereas blogs have links/pictures,tables,etc.

if the story was negative/inflammatory. That being said, it's a good story and I'm happy for Cory. With such an early start under RR's tutelage, he should have a good shot at making a successful career out of this.

Great story. Not only does it show RR's willingness to keep a kid in school and developing him outside of football player. But it shows there is more to CZ than just football player. He was willing to put down the helmet and pick up the whistle. Not always an easy transition.
