NFL London: Lions vs Falcons

Submitted by TheFugitive on
Kickoff at 9:30am on Fox. Falcons have a makeshift oline which plays into the Lions hands but they still have Julio Jones and some other playmakers. Lions are without Megatron, Bush, and most if not all of their TEs.

The Falcons have the worst home field "advantage" in the NFL.  It's a city of transplants, most of whom keep their allegiance to their original hometown team.  In the home loss to Chicago a couple of weeks ago Ryan had to call a timeout due to crowd noise.

Seeing people in, as an example, Steelers jerseys attending a game between the Falcons and (not the Steelers) is pretty common.

Love that the Brits just wear any NFL team jersey to the game. Lots of Aaron Rodgers jersey's in the stands. Just like people at soccer matches here. Well I'm going to see Manchester United and Real Madrid so I'll wear my Chelsea jersey!

He's not bad, and he shows signs of brilliancy, he's just too inconsistent for having as many weapons as he does (when everyone's healthy).

My dream proposal, in which I have know insight as to if this would even be possible (haha), is trade him to somebody for a first round draft pick and pick up Marcus Mariota!

I know that because come on.. You're the one that said he has "many weapons" and I stated what is basically fact. This idea that he has had weapons to work with is a myth. I'm not making excuses for his inconsistent play but I'd wait until he has a semblance of an NFL team around him before deciding we should trade him for a draft pick. People don't realize how difficult it is to come across an even competent QB in the NFL.

Yeah... Don't know what happened to the other guy. Basically he said the Lions should trade Stafford in hopes of drafting Mariota. My response was mostly to his comment about Stafford having so many weapons, which in reality hasn't been true. The offense is about as patchwork as it gets.
