Not rounds 4-7, but some may find this SI article on Frank Clark interesting:
http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/05/02/nfl-draft-seattle-seahawks-frank-clark
Didn't seem to merit a separate post ...
I'm glad to see it's not another article telling the lie that Clark was a 210 lb. safety coming out of high school...
Would love to see the Lions give him a shot...in addition, which DT should they target? Can they trade up into round 4? Would also love to see them spend round 7 on the kicker from ND, he is a beast, and a hometown (Canton) kid.

I hate to say it, but I'd like to see them get Michael Bennett.
Bennett is the perfect fit next to Ngata but the Lions likely have to move up quite a bit to get him.
Why has he dropped? Maybe they can trade their five and a three from next year to move up

Not sure about the drop, but giving up a 3rd next year is quite a steep price.
Not need to move up if that's the cost.
Edit: And then we move up, lol
He seems to have always been a 4th round pick, IMO...not that Kiper is an expert on anything, but he doesn't even have him as the best DT available right now.
I think he's always been a 4th round pick.
Another trade up!

I've read this week that Michigan has the longest streak of a player being drafted in the NFL draft.
Is that streak in danger next year? Who do we think has a shot at being drafted in 2016?
maybe kalis if he blows up
I think Jake Butt is probably the most likely early-entry talent.
Graham Glasgow, Desmond Morgan, Joe Bolden, Blake Countess, Wayne Lyons...
I think the streak will continue. I don't see any first rounders, but there are some guys who could be picked in the lower rounds.
You left out Willie Henry

I was only listing seniors, but yeah, he could get drafted, too.
The official site lists him as a senior. If nothing else, Michigan has a ton of seniors this year, so a few should have a chance to get drafted.
Is a RS Junior. The official roster is a bit misleading, you need to click on the player's name to determine his year of eligibilty.
The official site lists all fourth-year guys as seniors, but Henry is a redshirt junior. He has two years of eligibility remaining at this point.
Countess seems like a near-lock to at least get drafted, provided he recovers even a bit from this past year. He has good measurables and its a position that teams are always going to be looking to fill. Also, I could see Pipkins get a chance late in the draft a la Campbell because he has the 5* pedigree and showed flashes between injuries.
Well we just traded up.
I wonder what we gave up...
Edit...formatting looks good when I copy and paste, however, changes when I hit save. Oh well.
Trade: Eagles acquire 3rd round pick in 2016 from Detroit for a 2015 4th round pick (113).
gave up a 2016 3rd rounder to get Gabe
I didn't see if they gave up one of them or not...
We only have one 5th after we moved up in the 3rd round yesterday.
We gave up a 3rd next year, although some of that is mitigated by the fact we'll get a 3rd round comp pick for losing Suh.
This is a pretty uninspiring draft for the Lions. Not one of these guys is a difference maker. Still on track for 7-9 or 8-8.
I dunno, I liked the Abdullah pickup
to be anyhting more than just solid at the NFL level. Kinda reminds me of Sedrick Irvin.
he didn't run a great 40 at the combine, but was fastest in the 20 yard shuttle, 60 yard shuttle and 3 cone drill...also had top vertical and broad jump of all rbs...lateral quickness and burst my dude, heck of a player...not to mention how consistent his game to game production was
I was hoping the Lions would take Grady Jarrett there. Oh well.
According to the NFL Draft Tracker, Lions still have picks in the 5th, 6th, and 7th round. So thats cool.
I'm not thrilled with any of the picks but at least they are drafting needs instead of taking tight ends who can't catch in the first round.
They are filling needs. Whether these guys will be standouts is another matter, but as you said they don't necessarily need that.
this is one of the best drafts ive seen from them...trade back and get two o line, stay put and get best player on ur board at position if need w abdullah, then trade up using a piece from their 1st round move to get a big physical corner, now jump up an entire round to get a guy projected 2-3 at a fair price considering the suh comp pick next year.
getting guys they want, high character guys, at positions of need...really nice aggression, mayhew is learning
Yeah, I don't get the hate. Considering Rob Sims is an overpaid putz, moving back in the first round and getting the best OG in the draft is a great move. And Manny Ramirez is a great insurance policy for anywhere on the interior O-line. People demanded a DT but OG was just as big a need.
And anyone who complains wasting a second-round pick on Titus Young and his character issues has no right to bitch about the first two picks here. By all accounts Tomlinson and Abdullah are as high on the character scale as it gets. I don't think RB is a position of much need but it's not like we're stacked, either. This is a solid draft. It's not flashy, but I like it so far.
Nice to see the Lions making moves today to get the guys they want. I don't think we'll see any great picks from them, but they're at the point where it's about adding depth. Plus this is a guy who already took shoots at Fairley back when he committed to Auburn.
gabe pick was a steal...guy was projected 2-3 round http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/gabe-wright?id=2552282
Jake Ryan getting some love from Kiper. 4th on his best available.
Other than the Gabe Wright pick, I'm not very happy with this draft for the Lions.
The Ramirez trade was still stupid, but Tomlinson is a helluva of a guard and extremely intelligent.(Double degree in evolutionary anthropology and psychology at Duke) Abdullah is a soild RB. Carter is the only one I have not come around on. Seems like an average player to me.
Why on earth was the Ramirez trade stupid? That was a GREAT move. Get an extra fifth rounder, move back just five spots, and get the best OG in the draft as well as a guy who has tons of starting experience and can play anywhere inside the tackles. Why on earth was that a dumb move???
Stefon Diggs to Michigan!!!??????
How funny would that be?
In all honesty, he'd be a GREAT fit as a slot and return man.
...replace AJ Hawk
That was weird.
Good call!
