WTF? Not sure if serious...
never mind.
WTF Broyles...Calvin, Burleson, Young....Where the fuck does Broyles fit in?
Kinda mean making Barry announce a guy from O-U.
Broyles pick=Detroit's 2012-13 strategy is to never run the ball.
Wow. I guess the Lions plan on outscoring everyone.
Probably should have taken a big back like lamichael, or someone for the defensive backfield.
But...that's just like, my opinion...man
I hope you are kidding.
Dude, Lamichael would dominate in PeeWee football. He would tower over most of those kids.
I'm sorry, I was in a state of confusion after the Millen-esk pick..."big play back" is what I was aiming for
Broyles is a good player but not a position at need. Bad choice.
We're never going to run the football again.
since Charles Rogers. I just lost a lot of faith in Mayhew. My God, what a terrible, terrible, pick.
There is the Madden Curse insurance
kidding me. We could have got this guy in the 7th round or undrafted free agent.
I guess LSD use is mandatory in the General Manager's office. WTF are they thinking? All the good free agent corners are gone and there's no way Dennard's lasting until the third round. Is the front office crazy or stupid?
To be a GM
Don't understand this at all, I actually like Broyles, but with so many other players out there at positions of need, just doesn't make sense
I think Matt Millen snuck in the draft room and drugged Mayhew. That pick makes no sense.
Talk about fucking up. Mayhew must have rode to the office with fairley.
ATL takes Konz...I wish Detroit had done that...
I hope the WRs can run their routes really fast when their QB only has half a second to throw.
Fucking Mayhew.Way to drop the ball and get another receiver.Wasn't Titus Young good enough?
Than everyone else left, because they're going to get fried on the radio Monday.
i saw one site ranking him the #15 WR, when #5 was still available. coming of acl surgery. what a reach. horrible pick. probably could have got him a few rounds later.
a d-back would have been the smart and safe choice.
Since we're taking best available across the horse, I guess this means we'll just sign Asante Samuel to fix our secondary needs.
He just went to the Falcons.
That'll be some lethal 4WR sets.
THE SPREAD IS ALIVE, BABEE!!!!!
The old Silver Stretch!
Is drafting for the lions. They take a slot ninja who blew his knee out when we could have had Adams or Konz. This pick is a joke.
must be a dart board that your referring to.
Were gonna have to score 100 points to win next year.
Mayhew's acumen as a GM is really in question now.
I think it's really Matt Millan, but then again he would have taken a WR first. Maybe he's trying to throw us off the scent
What Mort is saying about Mike Adams. What an idiot. Surprised Pitt thought highly of him enough to overlook his lying. Enjoy Lamar's jock strap carrying duties.
How many catches does the 4th WR in the most prolific passing attack get each year....30 maybe?
But the pick still makes little sense. They passed over healthy players at positions of need. This is simply a mindboggling bad decision. The Lions have done nothing to fill their defensive needs. Mayhew better have something up this sleeve or the Lions will be looking at drafting high again next year. This team was fortunate to win 10 games last year with this defense. I don't think they can count on 4 come-from-behind-wins.

The patriots had the worst pass defense in football. You don't need an elite defense if your offense is unstoppable. Welcome to the NFL

I'm not sure you can say he will be the #3 receiver. At 5'10", he's essentially Titus Young with less speed. I guess he could be #3 if they release Burleson, but then you have only one receiver over 6 ft. tall.
Can't believe Lavonte David is still available. Guy is going to be a pro bowler (assuming they still have it) for years to come.

Now if they only would have gotten Clairborne this would've been the perfect drat for them.
What the hell lions...
now. The Lions are bringing back Mouse Davis. The Silver Stretch offense will be reborn. Seeing as the defense doesn't matter, they might as well fix the O-Line. Next pick get a guard, and replace Peterman.
He was an All-American the last two years. Regardless of how much I would have rather had Kontz or a CB, this single fact makes me less depressed. The boy can play. He's hurt, but Detroit obviously feels that will be solved. He would have been a top 20 pick if healthy.
Where will he play? Titus Young is the real deal. I can only imagine they will have some 4 WR sets + TE Petigrew = empty backfield. (really, is this that neccesary?)
Maybe they aren't counting on Burleson being around much longer. But if so, who takes WR #2 - both Titus and Boyles seem like a slot WR, right?
ARGGHHH I'm trying to to break my computer.
I will repeat: "He was an All-American the last two years."
He also had 83 catches last year. Good reciever.
Two knees.
He'll be the steal of this draft. You just wait and see. There wasn't a whole lot on the board in terms of CB or S. Konz maybe at C, but c'mon. It's Konz.
