He can PLAY like that all he wants. Sure, we all want some of that on our team.
But to act like that in an interview once the game is over is bush league. It's bullshit and it's embarassing.
If ANY of our guys did that I'd hope he was kicked off the team. PERIOD.
I don't care about the trash talk on the field, I don't care about the things that go along with the PLAY and the GAME.
But when the game is over and you're being interviewed and representing your team. Show some class.
Don't condone that ignorance.

Be a cocky asshole on the field. Imagine if this happened in a Little League game. You think we'd let the kids get away with behaving like this?
January 19th, 2014 at 10:03 PM ^
Exactly I'm sure Crabtree, who is the only player since 2005, to hold out said absolutely nothing. Sherman's cocky, but he is a way way better imagine for the league than Aldon Smith and his assault weapons.

Hah, that's a good tag line for marketing: "Better than a guy with assault weapons"

Manning will have the brains not to throw at him. Like him or not he is the best CB in the league. Kaepernick for some reason decided to go after him with the game on the line.

DB is meeting Harbaugh for coffee in san francisco tomorrow to convince him to come home to AA. The deal is ready to go and it's basically done deal.

Well played and well timed.

:( All season, I dreamed of Harbaugh on the sidelines running out the tunnel with his michigan cap and walmart khakis. Urbs would've crapped his pants.

I guess I know what team I'll be rooting for in the super bowl
January 19th, 2014 at 10:12 PM ^
made it easy for me to root for the Broncos.
I'd like to see the interview when Peyton puts up a game-winning TD on him.
What a dumb ass.
To all of those above who say you're supposed to cocky, I say: keep it on the field. You look like an idiot yelling at the sideline reporter like that. It was a WWF moment in the NFL. Ugh.

Actually he always comes across as a cocky asshole. That is exactly how he wants to be known. It was just too over the top in this case.

You literally don't have a clue as to what you're talking about. Look at his incident with Brady and taunting him Twitter, his interactions with Skip Bayless, tonight, daring the Redskins players to punch him. He's an ass and he loves it .

Trash talking in football or on Twitter? OH NOES THINK OF THE CHILDREN
January 19th, 2014 at 11:40 PM ^
I see you're still pissed.
Sorry didn't mean to use the word p***** and offend your sensiblities. Is this the part where you follow around and comment on my posts in an attempt and redemption?
January 19th, 2014 at 11:14 PM ^
He may be an ass, but putting Skip Bayless in his place sure as hell doesn't count against Sherman.
January 19th, 2014 at 10:24 PM ^
You watch the Seahawks much?
Sherman is one of the biggest trash talkers and cockiest guys in the league. All started his 2nd year when he went after Revis for the title of best CB in the league.
This was far from surprising.
January 19th, 2014 at 10:18 PM ^
Whether you like it or not the WWE makes a lot of money because people like to see stuff like that.
Oh and the guy's team just made it to the Super Bowl. Emotions might be running a bit high.
January 19th, 2014 at 10:37 PM ^
Ray Lewis was emotional last year after the AFC Championship Game.
And even if he wanted to be all hype...I've got no problem with him screaming about how no one gave him a chance, the doubted his team, how the better team won, etc.
But to call a guy out, call him trash, take the focus off your team and the question being asked is ridiculous.
He can be hype all he wants. He's going to the Super Bowl! Dude, do you. Go crazy. I'm not expecting you to be gracious about it.
But there is a shit ton of middle ground between Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Barry Sanders and that garbage.

Why are people so perturbed by this? It's what's missing from pro sports. Nowadays all the stars are rubbing each others backs before the game. Sherman is like the '89 Pistons. He is a bad ass and he will tell you that. I miss the dislike in sports. Can't wait for the Superbowl.
