NFC championship open thread

Title says it all. First game was kind of slow until the 4th. I expect this game to provide a bit more excitement.

Also, this thread can serve double duty as a Sunday night (of a three day weekend for many) drinking thread.

So let me see if I understand the thread.  49er player recovers fumble.  In the process of recovering the fumble he gets his leg snapped in two but somehow retains possession while laying on his back.

Seattle ball!

do you ever stop and think, well, what kind of fucking moron put that in the rule book in the first place?

I mean, in what universe did the "tuck rule" make sense to someone? I know how. Because that person was a fucking moron, and they wrote that part of the rule book in moron-ese.

first, that injury is beyond brutal. Horrifying. One of those things that makes it hard to watch football.

Second, though, and I have no rooting interest (it's the 4th quarter and I still have no idea who I want to win), but THESE OFFICIALS HAVE BEEN FUCKING BRUTAL.

I mean, G-d &^#$@.

Talk about totally fucking up a game. Congratulations to the entire officiating staff. You have fucked this game up good and special.

Between a bunch of overly officious shit, missing spots, totally blowing a few other calls, for FUCK'S SAKE, the guy's career could be over and you fucking humps could see some shit that was that fucking clear?

Fuck. I am so pissed off right now. Every one of those guys needs to be fired out of a cannon.

Well, look at that. BALL DON'T FUCKING LIE.

Still, I am just disgusted by these clowns in stripes.

it's *very* rare that I can't figure out a rooting interest, but I truly haven't in this one, so it's been simmering quietly.

But rank incompetence over a prolonged period of time - it just grates and grates, and man, these guys have just sucked ALL DAMN GAME LONG.

I know these guys have a hard job, but there's a level of incompetence, where it's just like, come ON.

I'm just saying, having a select few plays that aren't reviewable is just dumb. If everybody in the stadium and the millions sitting at home watching on tv know the call is flat out wrong, then there should be a way to get it right.

Gore, Iupati, Bowman, Harvin and now Bennett limps off.  War of attrition.

Kaepernick had a great first half, but he has got to be more careful with the ball.
