Speak for yourself Mr. Dudeness. I would take a coaching snowflake thread over 45 melt down/fire Al Borges/I feel the need to express my opinion because it is so wonderful and correct threads after every game.

While posbang threads are pointless. They do help morale. Something we missed a lot this year.

I never like to wish time away because it is truly a blessing, and goes by too fast as it is.

However, I am really looking forward to 2014, and all that lay in store in the New Year.

No matter how dire the sports situation gets in football, there is always plenty of excellence to point to within the University of Michigan.  For that, I am always thankful.

Also, I am thankful for this blog and all of your insightful comments, though I may not agree with all of them.  It has really helped me keep my sanity throughout this football season.

Happy New Year to all!

Oh 2013. Although I started a new job and got my masters this year, you still suck because of everything related to Michigan sports. Go Blue in 2014!!

Mostly, 2013 turned out to be a reasonably good year for me. M Basketball kept me going early in the year when things at work were looking pretty bleak. My daughter did very well in her vocal music competitions, my son started charting his own path, my wife found fulfillment as a volunteer, and business picked up for me by the end of the year.

I realize I am blessed in more ways than I can count. So, I'll ring in 2014 with hope for better days for myself, my family, my community and - somewhere down the list - for U-M.

Go Blue. Happy New Year.

I am posting this from my underground bunker.  Just to be safe, I am not coming out until every time zone has passed into 2014.  Not taking any chances, as 2013 was just too scary of a bitch to mess with.

Happy New Year everyone, and Go Blue!  Here's to a better year . . .
