May everyone's 2014 be far better than their 2013, especially the football team. Have a safe and happy New Years everyone! If you are going out, be safe, and get a designated driver!

Here's to 2014. Hope we and the coaches learned a few things from this year, don't repeat some of the same mistakes, and that lucky breaks, the law of averages, and cosmic justice turn solidly in Michigan's favor next year.

May 2014 bring peace to all ACLs, healing to all turf toes, and any such sundry ailments that you, your loved ones, or members of your beloved sports teams may be suffering.

2013 has been truly awful, both personally (health issues) and fanwise (UM, need I say more?). I will be spending new year's with the wife hopefully seeing Anchorman 2 after an afternoon doctor's visit that will hopefully not be another soul dong punch  but instead provide some hope and solace. May your new year's be a good one. Rock on Blue!

2013 was lamentable from sports perspective for nearly all of us, and for many of us on other levels.  But it's almost in our rearview mirror.

So here's to a terrific 2014, for each and every one of you - even the ones of you that annoy me from time-to-time.  And be safe out there tonight folks!

Basketball team made the finals in what is likely to be the greatest run any of us ever see that team make (expectations vs. results). The football season sucked and the hockey team is kind of back to life but I won't say 2013 sucked all the way through. That Kansas game was a once-in-a-lifer for us.

Here's to hockey getting back on track and football figuring out football. Go 2014
