To the year 2013.......

Good - F'ing - BYE!!!!! Can't really remember a year I wanted to be over worse than this one, many reasons being related to Michigan sports. I mean there was just no damn sanctuary unless you were a big Men's Gymnastics fan. I mean really...

Football ........don't think that needs elaboration.

Hockey....... blew the 22 year NCAA tourney streak

Basketball.....blew the Big Ten title, great run in the tourney but came up short, missed on pretty much all of the 2014 recruits, get McGary back and then lose him to injury and not exactly off to a great start for this season.

May 2014 be BANGIN' for the Michigan faithful. Can't get much worse than this year (wood knocked on incesantly).

I got a new baby boy, had the best financial year of my life and am building a new house, so I can't complain either! The year still sucked because the pregnancy was awful, we've been super busy, we won't actually move until 2014, and well, you know, sports and all, so 2013 can still eat me.

Oh man. Oh man oh man oh man! This damn year is almost over!

But let's give this posbang some substance.

How are you rocking in the New Year?

For me, I think it's just gonna be me and my dad relaxing at the house. Friends want to go downtown, so that might be in the cards.

I started my December 31st by cleaning off the driveway and the cars, and supposedly that's how I will be spending my January 1st and 2nd if the forecast holds. So, while the roads are less crappy and there is time, I shall be running out to get some supplies as well as some New Year's drinkables for the celebration later.

Other than that, not much in the way of organized plans today - the kids are watching films in one room, my wife is deep into "Sons Of Anarchy" and "Fringe" on my iPad and here I am, on MGoBlog. That sort of scene materializes a lot around here, although we do find the time to do family things as well.

Go Blue, folks and here's to a brighter 2014. *raises coffee, as it is all he has right now*
