I can't be the only one enjoying a few drinks on this fine New Years Eve. I'm surprised there isn't a thread quite yet.
I'm on my 5th or so Leinenkugel's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter.
How about you guys?
Lots and lots of fluids! Water, grape juice, apple cider, gatorade... fighting away the flu isn't exactly how I imagined spending my NYE.
Hang in there. I'm in the same boat. A Michigan win tomorrow would be soothing medicine.
Yappy Hew Near!
but I am drinking beer until live football is over for the night and then switching over to cognac to ring in the new year with the ghost of Dick Clark
I was born in '65.
I have the Peach Bowl (using Seth-approved name) and some Strongbow cider at the moment. I made beef enchiladas for dinner - slow cooked the beef in salsa verde, fresh chopped cilantro and diced onion, with a smattering of diced serrano peppers. Turned out nicely, I might add.
after the girlfriends friends (we're in her hometown right now) said they'd be house party hopping in downtown Cincinnati, which I currently can't participate in due to a fucked up knee. Turns out her dad had the perfect materials for a BP table downstairs, so we're going to play some pong with her little brother and enjoy premium satellite on their very big TV. Not all that shabby, even if it is way more lame than being at UC tonight.
We're drinking champagne all night, with a few Yuengling's mixed in.
I think 60; maybe only 55 but I have a 43 and it's substantially bigger.
Also, that sounded every bit as dirty in my head as I'm sure it did in yours.
Sometimes you have to throw out a softball.
Oh justin, you say the funniest things sometimes <swoons>
and Coke Zero.
Champagne from Costco. Get like me!
The first NYE I've spent at home since I was 17, and if feels STRANGE. The Mrs. got me a case of Miller High Life while she was out, and I'm going to have those in between shots of Crown. Happy New Year to all, and Go Blue, beat the Cocks!
Living the High Life tonight...
Bam Biere. Best. Brewery. Ever.
And am drinking my west coast IPA (Stone, enjoy by 12-21-12) out of a Jolly Pumpkin glass.
Switching to Cabernet, and making my famous "kid-mosas" for my kids, who talked me into staying up to the "real" midnight. We are on the west coast, and I like to celebrate midnight at 9 because I'm old.
It's my go-to any time I'm in California.
Jolly Pumpkin distribution is so spotty in Chicago that every time I see some in a Binny's I buy like 5 bottles because I'm never sure if it'll be there the next time. Any bar that has Jolly Pumpkin on tap immediately goes into my pantheon.
That Stone is typically meh for me. Except their special brews, and this was a good one. Lots of really good beer out here..to much good beet available to drink bad beer.
Is yummy too! I can find bottles out here and I'm more of an IPA fan, but I love that Ann Arbor connection. Enjoy!
Have now switched to Bell's Two Hearted, which I purchased at a 7-11. Yes, the 7-11s in Chicago carry Two-Hearted. Jakovsmirnoffwhatacountry.jpg.
White Russians. Just dudeing it up.
The Dude abides.
Red Label in Pepsi. Yes, I'm a high roller
Well I have had a lot of bus light, absolute, and wine so far. My makers mark is calling my name now. I probably won't remember this post in the morning.
Brought some local love back home to Pitt.. Dark Horse and Founders.. Finish off with a hopslam!
Hopslam I presume? Release not until Jan 8 per Bells website.
I have been holding onto this until tonight. Btw, its even better then the last one i had at thanksgiving.
than I. The last of mine did not survive past September, and I started with 4 cases. It was good aged, but I prefer it fresh. The hops faded and the malt took over a bit too much for me.
bunch of osu fans w/ miller lite
Which is worse.
At least it's not king cobra or natural ice
Milwaukee's Best Special Reserve. Or as my drunkass roommate called it, "Mikwaukee's Best Speed Racer."
fans are worse.
The fans are worse because you can likely tolerate that beer. Anyone over 40, hanging with 40+ aged Ohio fans would probably think the fans are more tolerable than that beer. 30-40 year olds....it would be a toss up.
Wolverine Premium Lager. With some sparkling cider in-between.
And still pissed I'm not in Tampa right now.
Decaf and baily's. So good.
Blows... Just opened a 2008 bottle of Gamba wine ( it's a Zinfandel from Sonoma County) my wife is 8 months prego with our 2nd and I'm watching Hook the movie from 1991. Ya pretty sweet night especially since I'm only 32 and pretty use to going out but I guess that won't happen til 2014! Go Blue beat the old ball coach
Ya my 5 years old kept saying bangarang all night. Good stuff
Block M gloves and phone cover.
I miss Dick Clark.
6 pack from Kroger.
Enjoyed watching Tommy Amaker's Harvard team lose by one after having an 18 point lead.
of Dom Perignon
I'm gonna get all types of red cedar drunk tonight.
The Stella will have to stay in the garage tonight, given how I'm feeling. At this stage of life I'm happy to trade wine for water - I did plenty (and enjoyed thoroughly) of drinking in earlier years, but raising a family now and happier than ever. Happy New Year all
Posted this in the Peach Bowl thread, but Blake Countess photo from twitter. He looks good, and Wormley's hair is coming along. Uni's don't look bad... /ducks
HNY M fans. Drinking buckets of Goose on Duval Street. It could be worse
And Seacrest is in earmuffs. They should have got Coach Hoke to do it.
In Tampa - Jai Alai IPA by Cigar City Brewing. Holy shit - best IPA I have ever had.
Watching the phish stream with some friends. Was drinking Bookers neat. Just starting sipping some Corzo. Never had it, but it is a super smooth tequila.
Bookers is like 130 proof right?
It is. Been a rowdy night so far. After this show the biscuits steam will be in full effect.
Barber likes his noodles wet
National hangover day is gonna rip you tomorrow...
I'm getting old and can handle my shit. I'll be just fine.
I saw them on nye in 09 in Miami. I blacked out after auld Lang syne...
Spaten Optimator. Hell of an import.
Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout
Les Miles' clock management is so bad that he must've celebrated New Year's 2 months ago..
Lagunitas IPA, eh had better
Horny monk Belgian IPA
Visiting family in Wisconsin and went to a Green Bay Gamblers game. Splurged for the "Suite on the Glass" seats and shelled out the $25. Nice surprise was the free beer and popcorn. Fun times and I'm on my way to a great 2013. Go Blue! Beat S. Carolina and the 'Ol ball coach.
Now to finish off that case of Leinenkugel's.
Cahaba Brewing Co. Oka Uba IPA and Founders Carmudgeon Old Ale to ring in 2013. Can't beat the best of Bama and MI brewing!
Have you tried back forty naked pig? Very nice as well.
Started the evening with Marshall Wharf's Cant Dog Imperial IPA, and switched over to The Alchemist's Heady Topper. Mmmmhh, hoppy goodness. Such a nice way to ring in the new year.
Can't believe it's the New Year.
Everybody be well and have a great night and a successful year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Go Blue. Beat those Cocks. Beat them long. Beat them hard.
Beat them till they give up their creamy white innards!
Happy New Year! Beat the Cock suckers. Go Blue!
HAPPY NEW YEARS MGOBLOGGERS. GO BLUE! LETS GO KICK SOME (game)COCK.
Sick here also, hoping for a big win tomorrow.

Happy New Year - to all
Ive been enjoying some Tuaca. Mmmm, Liquid Butterfinger...
Downtown Iowa City drunk. Sorry if inappropriate but I am. Here's to a great 2013 to all. Ready for some great football action tomorrow and trying to keep somewhat sober (I.e. drinking water along with the alcohol)
"Middle Sister" bubbly sweet white wine, from the bottle. Keeping it classy in Madison. Happy New Year!
Just finished off my stash of Shandys and finishing the night with vanilla porter.
Rang in the new year with some Johnny Walker Blue Label
Cracked open beer #4....gotta keep em coming...Go BLue!
Happy New Years dudes. I quit drinking lately but I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game. Here's to 2013.
About to celebrate the New Year here in Mountain Time. I hope everyone has a great 2013, and we all start it with a win tomorrow. Go Blue and Happy New Years!
Andre, guinness, sangria, new glarus. A mix to start the new year

on BlueRay. Tomorrow will be the Gardner coming-of-age story. Cheers, GoBloggers!
Hanging w my kids so they can stay up til Midnight/New Year...I,would be in bed by now if not for them. We are avoiding most of the inappropriate (for 9 year olds) TV by watching House Hunters. Good stuff, right?
Anyhow, just want to wish you all a very Happy New Year! I really enjoy this blog, and hope I'm not too smart assy, too often. I hope 2013 is good to all of you, starting with a well played win at the Outback Bowl.
Happy New Year!
Still going strong. Some Hunter's Valley Concord Grape (central PA) and Bells Two-Hearted. Happy New Year and Go Blue!
