In the Springsteen original, it's "Cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night" (a deuce being a 1932 Ford coupe).

It's one of the classic misheard lyrics. Wikipedia tells me Springsteen has joked about it, saying that it was not until Mann rewrote the song to be about a "feminine hygiene product" that it became popular.

I think maybe cypress was hired by scout or rivals to get us to purchase insider membership, but cool.  I guess we have to be content with "mystery white linebacker visiting"???? or "he is white so he must be a OLB version of Desmond Morgan. LOL

I was planning on giving an extra ticket to my oldest son' so he could take his new girlfriend to the game with us.  Naturally I assumed the OP was referring to her.

Man was I wrong or what!

After some random searching. I think the high school is Winter Springs, they have a DB on their roster with the name A.J. Mathews but can't find shit on him as far as recruiting goes. The orlando sports central commented on him in an article recap for a game but thats about it.

His name is Ryan Petro. He is an OLB out of the Orlando area. No offers from anybody as of yet, but Nebraska, Pitt,Rutgers, and Michigan have recently found him and are keeping in touch. He is a OLB version of Desmond Morgan.

I'm not sure exactly how much correlation there is, but some of our best football players have been wrestlers.  We have an all-region middle linebacker who doubles as a wrestler in the winter.  We put another wrestler at defensive end on passing situations, and he's had 3 sacks (and several more hurries) in his limited time.

They learn such good balance, footwork, and reflexes in wrestling that it helps them out a great deal in football.

In addition, I mentioned on my blog that one of our players was nearly paralyzed in a game earlier this year.  His dad and the doctor attributed the strength of his neck muscles (due to wrestling) to preventing him from paralysis.

I don't enjoy watching wrestling, but it's certainly helpful for young football players.
