Everybody is freaking out that our 2nd year team has lost to these two teams who clearly have more experience (hence the turnovers). I think we will be okay, and we will hopefully beat PSU, Purdue and Illinois and the other two... well, you never know what can happen. Football is a crazy sport.

Go Blue! Secure a bowl!

Disagree.  Florida State had a just okay game this week, but their one loss is to a surprisingly good Oklahoma team. FSU has been otherwise playing really well all year. In my eyes they should go the rest of the way undefeated, including a win over rival Florida. Arizona had an impressive win over Iowa and a close loss to Oregon State, but I feel they are lucky to be in this situation today. I see them losing to Stanford, USC, Oregon and ASU...which are their four last games.... They don't end the season ranked.

Also, I would choose FSU over Arizona in a head to head, wouldn't you?

Right, but it is still preferable to being flat-out dominated in every phase of the game.  At this point I will take mistakes by young playmakers, since young players will become less likely to make the same mistakes as they mature physically and mentally.

At least we are going toe-to-toe with a couple of top 12 teams despite our injuries and inexperience.  Next year both MSU and Iowa lose a ton of their starters, while we return the bulk of our team.  We knew that this year would see some rough games.  As long as we hold serve against at least 2 out of PSU, Purdue and ILL, things are still looking good for next year and for the future.

Maybe, but the computer rankings are going to continue to be a killer for them this year.  They were already going to be punished in the computer rankings because of strength of schedule, and losing to Wisconsin isn't going to help that at all (because of Wisconsin's loss to MSU).

tough game remaining.  IOWA at Iowa, they are better than everyone else on their schedule, and they can beat Iowa.  Sorry folks but 12-0 is within their grasp.

They just came through a 3 game stretch of UW, UM and Illinois with flying colors.

I, by no means, think we should be ranked... but we lost to the #8 and #12 teams.   Meanwhile, a team that lost to James Madison and has the same record that we do is ranked!  I don't get it.

I think it really comes down to what has happened the past couple of years with Michigan or at least last year that's affecting your ranking. Losing two in a row also doesn't help very much. You come into the Big Ten undefeated and the losses start piling up. You're definitely looking like a better team than last year at least offensively but the pattern is still there unfortunately for you.

Well, with Oklahoma's jump to #3, they should easily pass BSU via strength of schedule.  Oregon-Oklahoma MNC matchup would be a fun one; two high profile offenses teeing it off.  Would be Oklahoma's chance at revenge for that botched call in Eugene a few years ago.
