New Uniform Reveal Video
I was skeptical when I saw pictures of a poorly photoshopped disproportionate model, but now i think these look really dope.
Titties!
Now that's something I can jump on board with.
Goebbles would be proud.
Weren't some players complaining about this "Techfit" material last year? I don't remember specifics but I recall that it wasn't much of a hit with some players.
There was talk that they were easy to grab and ripped easily.
I only hope it's a redesigned product using the same copyrighted name. Copyrights cost money.
Adidas brands most of their performance fabric as techfit.
They look better in the video, but I'm still not a fan. At least we're only going to see them once in the regular season.
Those socks.
Just please have all parts have the same shade of maize......and i like the socks.
can this be our new road uni? pleaseeeeeeee
Still don't like them.
But uh... we're still supposed to be the "home team". Which means they should be blue.
lets be honest, there is nothing that screams "home team" when we are playing in a stadium 20 hours away in the deep south
and admittedly I'm nitpicking here and generally agree with most of your post, but Dallas ain't the Deep South.
I hate them and I hate the socks and hate the gloves even more. Our traditional uniforms are killer. Why do this? For the kids?
The away jerseys with the yellow stripe are hideous. I'm waiting to buy an away jersey for my wall but ill wait until they get a better permanent away jersey.
You'll "wait"? The era of continuity is over bub, this is the era of "Change". Every. Damn. Week.

Our traditional home jerseys are killer.
The away ones? Not so much.
We don't have a great away uni history. There's room for improvement there. But if they do find a good look, then I hope they stick wtih it.
and gloves suck donkey balls. i can live with the rest.
Love everything about them. I wish they would wear these for every road game. Im sure the players and recruits do too.
This is worse in the video than in the pictures. I cannot believe I'm actually going to have to watch these re-used Arena-League jerseys grace Michigan football players. Shame on you Dave Brandon, shame on you. Tradition... go to hell, the fourteen year olds who wear jeans falling off their asses and shirts 10x too big think this looks "cool".
~Herm
The "fourteen year olds who wear jeans fallin off their asses and shirts 10x too big" are going to be filling our roster in a few years. Thanks for your old, narrow minded opinion once again, Herm.
Herm, this is not 1912. This is 2012. It's a new day and age.
Michigan is still wearing the Blue helmet with Maize wings, Blue home jersey and Maize pants. That's the tradition. Nothing wrong with a little changing it up once in awhile.
"the fourteen year olds who wear jeans falling off their asses and shirts 10x too big think this looks "cool"."
Sorry Herm, gotta call bullshit on this one. As a 16 year-old who wears jeans that fit and flannel shirts, I gotta say, I like these jerseys.
You don't have to like them either. They aren't for you. In all honesty, jerseys should be picked by the players, because holy shit, that's what this is all about. College football is such a diluted cash cow that fans and alumni think they have a RIGHT to dictate what goes on. By donating to the program, or attending games, or supporting the team and the university you should be doing that because you want to see these kids perform well. You shouldn't be paying to complain about what color uniforms they are running out in.
As for tradition, hell yeah, I love me some tradition. Michigan has tradition. Michigan was also innovative. Why can't that be part of the Michigan tradition?
Don't disrespect Herm. You swear at him again, and you'll have a mouth full of soap young man.
Herm it's not 1995. Kids wear the opposite of shirts 10x too big and baggy jeans. It's the dawn of the Hipster.
posted this in the "ANOTHER jersey for the Bama game" cause I thouhgt I would get shredded for starting a new thread about a jersey everyone seems to hate... props for having the balls, lol.
These look badass on an actuall moving person! I wish these were the permanent away uni's
The uniform looks too west virginia to me still. Change that maize shoulder stripe to blue and we'd be in business
Or change it to white.
Maize just does not work on the shoulders. I would have preferred just blue, even white maybe.
just plain would be perfect. but apparently that doesn't optimize the Q zone factor in the righteous demogs.
I like these better than the atrocities that we wore against MSU last year but that's not hard. I still think I liked the Sugar Bowl jerseys more. But I'm willing to give a chance to see them live before coming to a final decision.
look great running through the Alabama secondary in these.
wait, what?
They do look better in the video and they are starting to grow on me. Not bad.
As for all the "traditional" talk, which away jersey is supposed to be our traditional one? The white jerseys have continued to change over the years.
I like them a lot, just a little too much maize though.
At least all the maizes match.
anybody know the who the music is by?!??!?
Song is called "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton
I think Herm.
These look fantastic. Can't wait to get mine in the mail, preordered it yesterday.
its the back with the yellow across the top that sucks to me. I wish the video showed that so I could see how that looks on a person.
Yes, I hate the uni's (particularly the socks and gloves), but I'll get over it with a win. What bothers me most is the blatant use of UM to advertise Adidas. I know, I know, that ship sailed shortly after the Nina, Pinta and Santa Hoke-Lovin' Maria, but still, this is Michigan (ferdivinityofchoicesake). It all just feels cheap (and for me to feel cheapER takes a lot).
My only complaint is the back. I am in favor of player names, especially for this huge game, because it will launch Denard's Heisman campaign and most fuckstick SEC fans need to know how to spell his name on their ballots. If no names, then leave it plain. To say Michigan on the back is not only ass ugly, but it gives a sort of lack of confidence that people won't know what team is on the field. The helmet says it all, we don't need to have te word Michigan printed on the back. That's like spelling Mercedes on te hood, everyone knows what the 3 pointed star stands for. We don't need it.
Are we sure that it doesn't just say Michigan because it's a faceless model? I imagine they will actually have player names for the real thing.
